ℹ️47. Enolončnica - Was on Saturday 15th of November at 18:00 as always. We had Diana, who studied Journalism and built a career as a digital journalist.

She also has a passion for bringing to light the experiences of Latin American migrants, so I have a blog called Letters From A Migrant, where I delve into my learnings as a Latin American migrant in Europe.

🌍 In this episode, we met Ausma from Riga, who has been living in Slovenia for four years. Drawn by the mountains and a wish to volunteer abroad, she arrived through an ESC project in Medvode.

💡 We talked about starting a new chapter in a new country, what Slovenia feels like through a newcomer’s eyes, and Ausma’s take on culture, community, and everyday life here. We also explored her path in Communications & Media Production, her love for photography and storytelling, and how hiking and outdoor adventures shape her days in Slovenia.

🌍 In this episode, we met Haytham from Cairo, who has been living in Slovenia for the past five and a half years. Originally trained as an accountant, he made a bold move to start a new life with two completely different paths – working as a chef and as an actor.

💡 We talked about what it means to begin again, how a newcomer experiences Slovenia, and Haytham’s reflections on culture, society, and everyday life here.

🎙️ 44th Enolončnica – Our Guests: Oleksandra 🇺🇦, Maria 🇷🇺 & Aleksandr 🇷🇺🇱🇰

🌍 On August 30th, the fourth Saturday of the month, we hosted a special edition of Enolončnica featuring three inspiring guests:

Oleksandra from Ukraine, living in Slovenia for 7 years and working as a music teacher 🎼

Maria from Russia, an opera singer who has been calling Slovenia home for several years 🎭

Aleksandr, with roots in Russia and Sri Lanka, is a musician who arrived just 9 months ago 🎹

📸 Together they shared their journeys, creative passions, and reflections on life in Slovenia. They also introduced their newly founded music group “Serenade Collective”, through which they plan to develop intercultural and international music projects. Additionally, they discussed their plans for a new association that will unite people through art and dialogue.

✌️ It was a heartfelt conversation on resilience, identity, and the role of music in connecting people across cultures.

🌍 This month on Enolončnica, we welcomed Orsolya Csibi from Hungary!

📸Originally from a small village near Budapest with roots in Transylvania, Orsolya is currently volunteering in a multimedia ESC project in Medvode. She studied sociology, did Erasmus exchanges in Finland and Germany, and has a deep passion for photography, hiking, writing, and crocheting.

✌️She shared her journey to Slovenia, her volunteering experience, and her reflections on intercultural life.
