It's been a while since my last video project so I've decided to do something new.
This time I've decided to team up with Niki Gregorič, a local shredder with whom I've collaborated only briefly in the past but already talked about making a freeride video then...
So this March (yeah, just before COVId) we've finally started filming a short edit with some story but as it turned out things didn't go to plan.
Since my camera then only recorded full HD I've joined forces with another film maker, Luka Pasinović, another old collaborator of mine.
One pandemic later the first proper shots were finally filmed in local woods. Then Niki broke his back riding a pumptrack and I broke my arm so the whole project stopped dead ("broken") over a few days.
Activities resumed in September, this time in even greater numbers with another veteran rider Damjan Terčič joining. And on the final day of filming few more local guys jumped in front of the camera, literally.
When it comes to the legal status of mountain biking in our region, the enormous effort of the 76 people behind the newly founded organization TCS are putting into trails simply cannot be overlooked.
In my opinion, Blaž Winkler, the guy who pretty much started it all and 15 years later still leads by sheer relentless will, deserves particular mention (also all of the trails in this video were literally created by him although some are now maintained by others).
Over the years many people have provided invaluable help with construction and legalization of trails (Branko Belingar, Tadej Štrancar Soni Makarovič).
So why such a name? Simply because this was a time of great uncertainty (with covid pandemic) and on a personal level with injuries and tough decisions... And while it wasn't easy, I've decided to wrap up this project by the end of the year!
Oh I still have some unfinished business with regard to MTB movies so don't count me out yet!
