Winter as a digital nomad in Slovenia 🇸🇮

This was month number two living in Bovec, Slovenia in a digital nomad Workation house. With rooms starting at 800€ a month and a car included for the house.

I’ve been traveling full-time for 4 years now and to have a community house full of remote workers interested in skiing, hiking and nature has been truly special.

Just this last month we used the car to take weekend trips to Venice, the Winter Olympics, Bavaria, Austria and Lake Bled.

During the week we took trips up to Sella Nevea, Tarvisio and Nassfeld to ski. All amazing mountains at affordable prices, especially compared to prices in the US.

Just around Bovec there is so many amazing snow hikes, spring hikes in the woods on the fallen leaves from last fall and beautiful walks along the soča river.

This is truly one of the most underrated winter destinations in Europe and I hope to be back again next year for the Winter Workation here.

This is what it’s like to Ski in Europe as an American!

Welcome to Tarvisio, one of the coolest mountains I’ve ever been to, with a 14th century church and fairytale village up on top at 1800meters.

With 44€ day passes, amazing 15-20€ mountain top meals and great slopes, this place is such an underrated ski resort!

It’s all part of the Fruili Venezia Giulia region of Italy, a less popular skiing part of Italy but home to some incredible mountains at affordable prices!

This region also has the Carta Neve pass which for 550€ gets you a season pass to 7 Italian ski mountains in this region!

I’m gonna be trying and reviewing them all so follow along!

How to these mountains compare to your home mountains?

Welcome to the randomness that is my life!

Officially 4 years of full-time traveling the world with no plan in my 20s!

From starting an Amazon business and running a warehouse with 6 employees, to moving it online, living in my car, traveling the world, losing the business and now trying to make it work with Content!

I’m extremely privileged and grateful for all the adventures and lives I’ve already been able to have in my 20s. I still have no idea what I want to do with my life, income is inconsistent but I make it work and take you all along with me!

So if you want to travel, see my crazy adventures or learn my hacks for life, follow along!

This is the Drežnica carnival in Slovenia 🇸🇮. One of Slovenia’s Oldest traditions.

In Slovenian the word “Pust”means Carnival and this celebration stems from a Pagan tradition tied to welcoming spring and vanishing winter.

It’s put on by unmarried men of the village who dress up in handmade masks and put on a performance through different folklore characters.

It was one of the most chaotic days I’ve experienced as I went into this with no idea what would happen!

Have you heard of Carnival in Slovenia or ever seen anything like this?

Come Ski with me as an American spending winter in Europe!

Today’s ski review is Tarvisio Ski Mountain in Italy 🇮🇹, one of the coolest and most unique mountains I’ve been to with an entire mountain top village and 14th century church.

Coming in at just 40€ for a day pass and also part of the Carta Neve ski pass which is got for 550€, which gives you access to 7 ski resorts in Italy around this region.

Tarvisio also has lots of incredible restaurants with high quality food for 15-20€ , quite the different from what you get in the US at the ski resorts.

How does this mountain compare to other ski resorts you’ve been to?
