Vážení priatelia jazzovej hudby,
v prvom rade sa Vám musím úprimne a z celého srdca poďakovať. Ohlasy na naše online prenosy, ktoré sa k nám dostali, sú veľmi pozitívne a motivujú nás k ďalšej činnosti. Teší ma, že One Day Jazz Festival A-Live Vám spríjemňuje toto obdobie a tvrdo pracujeme na tom, aby sme mohli pokračovať v tomto trende ďalej. Spoločnosť a celý svet sa potrebujú spojiť a hudobné fúzie môžu ukázať spoločnú cestu.
Blížime sa k pomyselnej polovici tohtoročnej online verzie. Počas štvrtého koncertu sezóny sa budeme spájať s Ruskom, ktoré svoj boj s COVID-19 zatiaľ nevyhralo. V súčasnosti viac ako 9% nových prípadov tohto ochorenia po celom svete tvoria obyvatelia tejto krajiny. Práve táto krajina je rokmi spoločnej histórie prepojená aj so Slovenskom. Dlhodobo je možné sledovať, že slovenská a ruská kultúra má viacero prienikov a stále si vzájomne majú čo ponúknuť.
Vďaka záštite ministra zahraničných vecí a európskych záležitostí SR Ivana Korčoka nad One Day Jazz Festivalom a spolupráci so Slovenskými inštitútmi sa v piatok, 12.júna 2020, spojíme s Moskvou. Jeho riaditeľka Soňa Hanzlovičová vo svojom príhovore na webstránke uvádza: “História neraz potvrdila, že v neľahkom období sa práve kultúra stáva najlepším diplomatom … Slovenský inštitút v Moskve je inštitúcia, ktorá má prehlbovať vzniknuté vzťahy a zároveň otvárať dvere do ďalších možností či priateľstva alebo pracovného života.”
Slovenskú sekciu bude tentokrát na koncerte zastupovať Pacora Trio. To od roku 2004 hrá v stálej zostave Stano Palúch (huslista, multiinštrumentalista), Marcel Comendant (cimbalista) a Róbert Ragan (kontrabasista). Toto trio má na svojom konte viacero vystúpení na koncertných i festivalových pódiách vo viacerých hudobných európskych metropolách. V roku 2015 bolo trio vybrané medzinárodnou odbornou porotou ako vôbec prvý zástupca Slovenska na hudobný veľtrh Womex 2015 v Budapešti, kde bol ich koncert prijatý ako jeden z najlepších v tomto ročníku. Následne na základe svojho vystúpenia prijali pozvanie na známy Red Sea Jazz festival v Izraeli, kde vystúpili v roku 2016.
Veľkú radosť mám z toho, že naším online hosťom bude Anton Davidyants, jeden z najuznávanejších basgitaristov v Rusku, ktorý vystupuje s najlepšími jazzovými hudobníkmi a kapelami v krajine. Vo svojom prejave kombinuje neuveriteľnú tvorivú silu s jedinečnou technickou úrovňou.

Dear friends of jazz music,
First of all, I must thank you sincerely and wholeheartedly. The responses to our online broadcasts that have reached us are very positive and motivate us to continue. I am pleased that the One Day Jazz Festival A-Live makes this period more pleasant for you and we are working hard to continue this trend. Society and the world need to come together and musical fusions can show a common path.
We are approaching the imaginary half of this year's online version. During the fourth concert of the season, we will team up with Russia, which has not yet won its fight with COVID-19. Currently, more than 9% of new cases of the disease worldwide are people in Russia. It is this country that has been connected with Slovakia for decades of its common history. In the long run, it is possible to observe that Slovak and Russian culture has several penetrations and still have something to offer each other.
Thanks to the auspices of the Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic Ivan Korčok at the One Day Jazz Festival and cooperation with Slovak institutes, we will join Moscow on Friday,June 12,2020. In her speech on the website, its director Soňa Hanzlovičová states: “History has repeatedly confirmed that in a difficult times culture becomes the best diplomat… The Slovak Institute in Moscow is an institution that is to deepen relations and open the door to further opportunities either friendship or working life. "
This time, the Slovak section will be represented at the concert by the Pacora Trio. Since 2004, Stano Palúch (violinist, multi-instrumentalist), Marcel Comendant (dulcimer player), and Róbert Ragan (double bass player) have played in the permanent line-up. This trio has several performances on concert and festival stages in several musical European capitals. In 2015, the trio was selected by an international expert jury as the first-ever representative of Slovakia at the music fair Womex 2015 in Budapest, where their concert was received as one of the best this year. Subsequently, based on their performance, they accepted an invitation to the famous Red Sea Jazz Festival in Israel, where they performed in 2016.
I am very happy that our online guest will be Anton Davidyants, one of the most respected bass players in Russia, who performs with the best jazz musicians and bands in the country. His style combines incredible creative power with a peerless technical level.
