I carry him. 🤱
I know it might look a little funny — his toes dangle past my knees. He’s getting tall and heavy, too. Sometimes my back aches a bit when I lift him, but still… I carry him. 💪❤️
It starts in the morning when waking up feels tough. ☀️ I could make him walk down the stairs — it’s something he’s still learning in his therapy — but with his sleepy eyes and gentle heart, he doesn’t want to start his day with a challenge.
So, I carry him. 💛
He works so hard to get off the school bus. One hand on the rail, down three big steps with care. 🚌 He takes my hand, eager to go play. But first, I ask him to pause for a moment. I kneel, give him a hug, and whisper a kind word. 🤗
Then, I carry him. 🌷
At the end of the day, after practicing good manners at the table and holding his spoon just right 🍽️, he’s often tired. There’s still bath time, brushing teeth, and getting ready for bed. From the table and up the stairs we go.
Sometimes, I carry him. 🌙
The world moves fast and asks a lot from all of us. 🌎 With my son’s unique needs, it can be even more tiring. He’s guided and encouraged all day long. When it’s too much, that’s when I hold his long body close to mine — small arms and big love. 💞
Because sometimes, we all need someone to carry us through the next moment — to love us through our good, quiet, and weary days. 💫
When he’s reached his limit, I’m close to mine, too. But when I carry him… somehow, he carries me, too. 🕊️❤️
