On Tuesday 19th December, 2023, Njala University Peace Club with support from JPHRC BO -Justice, Peace & Human Rights Commission had a Peace Dialogue through a Radio Discussion Program on Classic TV Channel 39 Sierra leone "JPHRC HOUR" with Presidential Aspirants for the Students Union Government (SUG) Election. All the candidates agreed that there should be a peaceful, free, fair and credible election come January 2024.

An interesting discussion part of the dialogue was to ensure that there is an accountable, transparent and inclusive leadership commitment to promoting campus cohesion, peace and tranquility after the election where as all candidates who aspired for the position of the SUG Presidency will be actively involved into the Students Union governance to ensure peace and tranquility on Campus as well as working together to address the numerous welfare concerns of students.

As the Chairman of Njala University Peace Club, I felt honored to acknowledge all the Presidential Aspirants of Students Union Government (SUG), as stakeholders in peace building. I would like to encourage and call on the attention of the general student body on the shores of Njala University Bo Campus to maintain peace before, during and after SUG Election as violence is not the only way to solve the concerns of students on campus but it could be addressed through dialogues and negotiation with the stakeholders involved. Please don't take the law into your hands and kindly allow peace to reign for a sustainable development on campus.
