Human trafficking in Sierra Leone is growing rapidly through the good Samaritan act of give me your child to come stay with me in the city to be attending school.

Nobles and ordinary individuals visit the rural settings with fake concern of helping the village settlers with their child's schooling. And when they are in possession of the child, they traffic him or her. in some cases, if children are so smart. Just when they notice before time, they run away from the perpetrators.

Many of those children are found on the streets of the major cities. Whom are exposed to many life challenges and dangers.They struggle and suffer for food, shelter and clothing as basic needs.

On that note, I advise that if you're living in the village and someone approaches you and tell you that he/she wants your child to go stay with him or her in the city, please find out about the individual first. Try very hard to gather as many relevant information about the person so that you can know the person in question very well. That will aid in creating security or safety for your child or children. Your children are your future so don't allow someone to to take advantage of your poor situation and destroy your future by trafficking your children thus enriching himself and his family. Irrespective of your situation don't give your child or children to people you don't know very well all in the name of helping you with your child's schooling. If they want to help, they can help even when your child or children are with you.

I therefore urge all citizens of this nation to put hands on desk to fight for this vulnerable children who are victim already and also protect those who have not become yet. Finally, let's spread this message to the first Lady of this great nation
