Samuel Wise responds to the issue surrounding his name.πŸ‘‡πŸ½πŸ‘‡πŸ½πŸ‘‡πŸ½πŸ‘‡πŸ½πŸ‘‡πŸ½

I am Samuel Wise Bangura.

Every time you here me sign off with those words you can be certain that the report is credible, factual and beyond reproach.
I have repudiated the wanton claims and efforts at calumny directed at my person, but in a society where many are swept by demagoguery and hate, the truth has a slender muscle. The first report always sways the gullible; and sadly feeds the hateful. Time will vindicate our actions!

My resignation from the AYV Media Empire does not end my being a journalist.

I wish to register my deepest regrets to those who believe in me for putting them through the hassle of speculation, suspicions, conjectures and misrepresentation. If there is anything to take away from this sad episode, it is that my resilience has been reinvigorated in my pursuits as a journalist of high intellect and repute.

I’m taking this moment to thank my family who have been dragged into this and persecuted, my friends, my colleagues and the many people who have sent me messages of support during this difficult time.

My promise to you Sierra Leone, is that I stand resolute in the face of challenges, circumspect in my pursuits, and unbowed in the heat of evaluation. I shall remain credible, factual, and beyond reproach.

The story shall be told…

THE REASON WHY I’ll NEVER BE PART OF A PROTEST IN SIERRA LEONE.

Protests in my country have always ended in fatality and as someone who values my life and who also thinks, that people moving to the street will not change the situation, I’d prefer to stay home

Since I was born in Sierra Leone, I've never witnessed citizens being given the space to protest. I can recall a specific incident during Ernest Bai Koroma's tenure when Abdul Fonti, the current Communications Strategist attached to the Office of the President, requested police clearance to protest against WAEC due to the seizure of results.

The police initially granted a permit, but it was revoked at the eleventh hour, even after all preparations had been made to ensure the protest could proceed.

The Renaissance Movement, led by the current Anti-Corruption Commissioner, also attempted to organize a protest. On the day of the intended protest, IG Munu deployed hundreds of police officers in the streets of Freetown.

Even when the current opposition party, APC, sought permission to protest, the current IG denied them.

Regrettably, most of the protests we've seen in Sierra Leone have ended in violence. During the APC regime, students from Njala University protested, and it resulted in tragic fatalities.

The Youth Village incident in Kabala also led to the loss of young lives.

Under this current government's rule, unfortunate incidents occurred in Tombo, Lunsar, Makeni, and Freetown, where lives were lost.

In conclusion, while protests can serve as a platform to voice our grievances, there are individuals with malicious intentions who exploit these situations, leading to violence.

The police response often turns brutal. Due to these concerns, people like us choose not to participate in protests, as they tend to end tragically

If only the will to appoint people in a position of trust rests on the basis of merits and results, our country would have long shown John Keister the exit door.

Since his appointment, his performance with the team isn’t pleasing.

A good number of us jump into the airs of joy when news breaks that, the team is about to be given to Mohammed Kallon.

But this doesn’t seem to be the case as the decision-makers seem to have confidence in Keister

And from what some of us have seen from John Keister, our progress to the next level of the game is slime and far-reaching

In the early days of President Bio's tenure, the residents of Bureh Town and its nearby communities were filled with immense joy when Professor David Francis, who was then the Chief Minister, ceremonially broke ground for the construction of the Institute of Public Administration and Management (IPAM) campus in their area.

The majority of the people warmly embraced this project because they believed it would boost economic activities in the area and shine a spotlight on their community.

However, as President Bio's five-year term has ended, there has been little to no progress on the construction site.

It is my hope that the authorities will take prompt action to prevent a repeat of the issues earlier identified with the initial land at Kent Junction.

Unfortunately, the authorities delayed the project, allowing land grabbers to take control of the entire area.

The Commissioner General of the National Revenue Authority of Sierra Leone has informed Business Community that the government owes Karpowership, a Turkish company, more than $46 million.

This outstanding debt is reportedly the main reason for the recent power shortages in the capital City and has encouraged them to help to raise the bar of revenue collection in the country.
