After how broken we looked last season, I can’t believe these lads have me counting down the days to our next game.

That performance against Arsenal was something else. The fight, the energy, the intent, haven’t seen us play like that in a long time. If we repeat that against Fulham, they’re finished.

Bryan Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha had the same number of shots (9) against Arsenal as the whole Arsenal team managed against United. Think about that for a second.

Mbeumo also had 8 progressive carries, the most by any player in a single Premier League game this season. Cunha? He’s leading the entire league in completed take-ons right now.

Both of them gave everything on that pitch. Proper ballers. And the best part is, they’re just getting started.

We’ve signed real players this summer. No hype, no gimmicks, just footballers who actually make us dangerous again.

I won’t get carried away… but I’m counting down the days till Fulham already. ❤️💪

Manchester United are gradually turning into a proper squad you can be proud of — and the squad depth is already miles better than what we had last season.

We’ve now got more than six quality centre-backs fighting for places, forwards who know they can’t afford to slack off, and wing-backs who will be pushed every single week.

That competition alone shows how far we’ve come, nobody is walking into the XI anymore, everyone has to earn it.

And the new boys? Ballers. Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo bring goals, energy and creativity. Sesko is young but dangerous.

Add them to what we already had, and suddenly United don’t just look like a team with potential, we look like a squad built to compete.

We might still bring in more players, but even as it stands, this squad looks like one that can go toe to toe with anyone. Proper United. 💪🔥

I hope they [younger players] don't go on and read the comments when they've had a bad game, or read the direct messages on Instagram. I hope the players stay away and they learn that they don't need to be told by other people whether they're doing right or wrong. 🚨🗣️ Maguire on the leadership group: “I think the manager obviously wanted a group of players that he can speak to instead of piling it all on Bruno all the time. Maybe taking a little bit of weight off his shoulders as well in terms of he can lean on us for decisions and things.

“The manager likes a group of players, he's picked his group and it doesn't mean that anyone outside of that group of players isn't important to the manager or isn't seen as a leader because there are numerous leaders who aren't in that leadership group. It's just a small group.

"But if I'm being honest, Bruno is still the captain of the club. He's in charge of the players, but we'll give him a big support, which to be honest, we did and I did before that. So, I think it's probably getting made out a little bit more than what it actually is”.

“It's just a group where we can feed things through to the staff and the management and look after the club in general and give Bruno a little bit of weight off his shoulders.
