The Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) wishes to inform the general public, its membership, and all football stakeholders that the SLFA Appeals Committee has officially rendered its decisions on a series of appeals submitted to it in connection with the ongoing SLFA Electoral Process.
After thorough deliberations and careful examination of all materials presented, the Appeals Committee has dismissed all the following appeals:
𝟏. 𝐅𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐛𝐚 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐊𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐞 𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐭 𝐅𝐨𝐨𝐭𝐛𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 – An appeal challenging the ruling of the SLFA Election Appeal Committee dated July 7, 2025, has been dismissed. The Appeals Committee upheld the findings and conclusions of the lower committee as valid and binding.
𝟐. 𝐖𝐢𝐥𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐜𝐞 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐤𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐅𝐨𝐨𝐭𝐛𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐂𝐥𝐮𝐛 – The appeal contesting the SLFA Ethics Board’s decision of July 18, 2025, which imposed a monetary sanction of Thirty-Five Thousand New Leones (NLE 35,000) for filing a malicious petition and acts of contempt, has also been dismissed. The Ethics Board’s decision, including the condition that failure to pay the fine will result in disqualification from the SLFA Elective Congress, stands.
𝟑. 𝐊𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐊𝐚𝐦𝐛𝐢𝐚 𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐭 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐢𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐩𝐮𝐭𝐞 – A petition challenging the conduct and outcome of the North-West Region Football Elections held on July 12, 2025, in Port Loko City, filed by individuals claiming to be Chairmen of the respective District Associations, was similarly dismissed by the Appeals Committee for lack of merit and standing.
𝟒. 𝐌𝐫. 𝐓𝐡𝐨𝐦𝐚𝐬 𝐃𝐚𝐝𝐝𝐲 𝐁𝐫𝐢𝐦𝐚 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐌𝐬. 𝐀𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐚 𝐁𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐮𝐫𝐚 – Separate appeals submitted by the disqualified presidential aspirants, contesting the SLFA Ethics Board’s ruling of July 18, 2025, were both dismissed. The original decision disqualifying them from contesting the upcoming Elective Congress and barring them from all SLFA-related activities for one year remains effective.
