AS SHE SIGNS UP A NEW RECORD DEAL: FEMALE ‘RAP MUFTI’, JELLY BEE STAMPS THAT SHE IS “TAKING BO CITY INTERNATIONAL”

The name Jelly Bee is a familiar and joy singing name in the ears, hearts and minds of music lovers in Sierra Leone, more so those from Bo City. The female rapper who started off as a fashionista in the streets of Sierra Leone’s Southside headquarters, Bo, has inked her artistic name on the sands of time with bangers ever since she surfaced couples of years ago. From doing songs with artists like QD, ITribe, to Shyneboi Breezy and a host of many other big names within and beyond Bo City, Betty Lamboi aka Jelly Bee has been a resilient, effortless and stubborn musician who is poised for greatness and breaking the glass ceilings.

These tireless efforts of hers have been evident with her recent move as she has on Saturday 13th May, 2023 signed a contract with A-Bangz Originals [a music label] and unveiled as the maiden act of the label. In the signing and unveiling ceremony in Bo City which drew several entertainment stakeholders in Bo and beyond, was a joyous one for the star who repeatedly stated aloud that she is a “Bo tong tity” [a Bo town girl].
When making a speech after signing the contract in the presence of her manager, Kindo Armani, Jelly Bee appreciated all players in her journey to where she currently is, mentioning in particular that “had it not been for Sugarflow Factory,” she knows not where she would have been today; for it was Sugarflow Factory [her former record label] that brought her to the music limelight. As such, the female rap M***i, Jelly remarked that she shall eternally remain grateful to the entire Sugarflow team and represent the label anywhere she surfaces. Strongly and confidently she said that her new and first album with A-Bangz Originals will be a joy to listen to and watch. “With this album and more, I am taking Bo City International and I promise that,” Jelly Bee stated.

Jelly Bee’s maiden album with its first single, “E gbor ya” [It is finished], produced by legendary songwriter, singer and music producer, Niga Don is set to break barriers and compete on the international market as her Record Label, A-Bangz Originals is all geared up to massively support her craft and effort. She has vowed to join the big names in the big leagues across Africa and beyond the continent.
Jelly has it all to take Bo City International musically; however, she needs, deserves and merits the massive support of Sierra Leoneans.

The High Court of Sierra Leone, presided over by Hon. Justice Adrian Fisher has today (17th-03-2023) sentenced renowned Sierra Leonean HipHop rapper, Alhaji Amadu Bah (stage named King Boss LA) to nine (9) years imprisonment, plus compensations to be paid, (including the victims) to the tune of NLe 40,000. The Rapper of the “Money na Bank” fame has been in detention for nine months and was found guilty on all counts levied against him on Monday 13th March, 2023.

AMB. KAO DENERO SAYS HE RESPECTS KENYA’S KHALIGRAPH JONES

On stage during the “Meet the People Tour” in Bo City on Friday 17th February, 2023, Sierra Leone’s most prolific HipHop rapper and Entertainment Ambassador, Kao Denero told his fans he holds much respect for Khaligraph Jones.

The “Meet the People Tour” Bo Edition which the Office of the Entertainment Ambassador teamed up with Eco Multimedia Entertainment (EME) to stage at the Bo Shopping plaza was unarguably the best HipHop show in the nation’s second capital, Bo, in a long while. The event drew hundreds of people from diverse walks of life including but not limited to the media, security forces and medical personnel.

Seeing the enthusiastic crowd who enjoyed the performance of over 10 of his songs, Amara Denis Turay, stage named Kao Denero expressed elation in the warm reception accorded him in Bo City, adding that he did not see this coming (the huge turnout). The “Kontorfili” rapper stated during a witty statement that despite him being the Entertainment Ambassador, there is certainly no rapper in Sierra Leone “sicker” than he is. “I have listened to their recent released songs but then, I’m always on top of situation: ‘Kao na Wataside stone.’” The Mr. “Kenyatta” cautioned that such a statement is not a diss and he should not be misunderstood. Rather, it is to instill in all that he is number one in the rap genre across Africa. “I threw shots at all those big names in the rap game across the continent including Khaligraph Jones, Sarkodie and M.I. Abaga; none of them responded to my bars and some of them like Sarkodie, took it personally,” Kao averred, “but Khaligraph Jones took things cool and he is super cool fella. I have high respect for him,” the Ambassador revealed. After he threw jabs at the Kenyan rapper, Papa Jones in the “Kenyatta” track couple of years ago, some could think the two rappers would never see eye to eye; yet the OG, Papa Jones graced the stage in January 2023 in Freetown on the invitation of Ambassador Kao Denero; an act Kao revealed is pleasing to him. Sierra Leone‘s rap Ali, Kao informed his fans that they should be on the lookout for two tracks of him and Kenya’s Khaligraph Jones as the two rap sensations are about cooking some sumptuous meals for their lively fans. “I’m doing a remix for the first time ever and that’s because Khaligraph has asked for a remix of one of my songs which he confessed love for; and so watch out for that and another,” Kao shed light on.

The “Meet the People Tour” according to the Ambassador of Entertainment in Sierra Leone, Amb. Kao Denero shall continue “until the entire country has been toured.”

Reports from Bo states that the Bo Sports Stadium has collapsed, leaving many school pupils damaged.
However, I can report from reliable sources that the Bo Sports Stadium is intact and did not collapse. One of the railings over looking the perimeter fence went loose and school girls who leaned on same fell from it which caused damage to them. They have been rushed to the Bo Government hospital for Medicare. The number of girls affected by this is yet unknown but we hope and pray it does not result to fatality/fatalities.

KRHYME’S ”DEAR FATHER” EP BOILING HOT

Bo City’s Ibrahim Shebora Kamara, Stage named KRhyme is about taking his career to another top 🔝 level.
The CEO of The Host Empire Records (T.H.E.) is currently working on his Extended Playlist which he is equally planning a pool fiesta for come December, 2022.

Among couples of songs recorded which shall form part of the EP, KRhyme has cooked a motivational track deep rooted from our daily realities. “Hold tight” as he titled it delves into how much pain and struggles one encounters for a successful outcome, with an inspiration that no matter the hurdles, one should not give up but keep holding on, pressing the green button harder until the goal is reached.

The rapper, self styled “King Of Kakua” has released a video teaser of the song ’Hold Tight’ as fans and music lovers await the release of the track and the full music video.
