JAGABAN LIGHTS UP KENEMA CITY WITH 120 SOLAR STREET LIGHTS

The Leading Flagbearer Aspirant of the All People’s Congress (APC), Sheikh Alhaji Mohamed Omodu Kamara, popularly known as “Jagaban,” he has handed over 120 solar street lights in Kenema as part of his continued commitment to supporting communities, education, and development across Sierra Leone. The handover ceremony took place at the APC District Office in Kenema on 29th August 2026.
A total of 110 solar street lights were allocated to the eleven APC constituencies in Kenema District, with each receiving 10 lights, while an additional 10 were allocated to Eastern Technical University (ETU) all in total 120 solar street light. Welcoming Jagaban and his entourage, Dr. Prince Bende Jr. commended his contributions to development and expressed appreciation on behalf of the people of Kenema.
Speaking on behalf of the constituency chairmen in Kenema District, Mr. Alimamy Bai Sesay, Chairman of Constituency 011, expressed strong support for Jagaban’s leadership aspirations.
“Jagaban, we the people of Kenema are behind you, and we think it is best that you are the only flagbearer candidate who has all it takes to maintain and lead us,” he said. And added that the people of Kenema had witnessed Jagaban’s interventions across Sierra Leone and believed his record demonstrated the capacity to deliver sustainable development.
“We, the Kenema delegates, have endorsed you, and we will continue to support you until 2028, when you attain the presidency,” Mr. Sesay declared.
He described Jagaban as the first candidate they had encountered with a “walking manifesto,” referring to the developmental initiatives he has undertaken even before assuming political office.
