Celebrating Academic Excellence: Congratulations to Amb Alhaji K. Tarawally!

On behalf of the Board of Directors, Executive Management, and the entire team, I am delighted to extend our warmest congratulations to Dr. Alhaji K. Tarawally, affectionately known as Laj-K. As the founder and CEO of the LAKE Group of Companies SL Limited, Dr. Tarawally has achieved the remarkable milestone of earning a Ph.D. in International Relations and Diplomacy.

A Milestone Academic Achievement

Dr. Tarawally’s academic journey is truly inspiring. He began at Fourah Bay College and continued his studies at Schiller International University in Germany and the University of Roehampton in the UK. His dedication to research took him to California, the USA, culminating in his doctoral degree from Selinus International University in Italy, in affiliation with California University FCE (CUFCE) in the United States.

His impressive credentials include an M.A. from Germany, an M.Sc. from the UK, a Diploma and BA Honours Degree from Sierra Leone, and a Leadership Certificate from GIMPA in Ghana. These accomplishments are a testament to his unwavering commitment to academic excellence.

Transforming the Creative Landscape

As the visionary leader of the LAKE Group of Companies, Dr. Tarawally is at the forefront of some of Sierra Leone’s most prestigious local and international event franchises, including the National Musical Festival, Miss Freetown Beauty Pageant, Miss Mano River International Beauty Pageant, National Music Awards, and National Entertainment Awards. Under his dynamic leadership, these franchises have significantly impacted the media and creative industries, providing employment opportunities for hundreds of young people in the country.
