According to the Italian gold businessmen involved in the case against Admire Bio, the niece of ECOWAS Chairman and Sierra Leone President Julius Maada Bio, they say they are dissatisfied with how the Sierra Leone Police have handled the investigation.

They claim that since the investigation began, the police have not provided regular updates or explained the progress of the case. According to them, they have had to repeatedly contact and visit the police themselves to seek information.

The businessmen allege that they lost US$260,000 in a fake gold transaction involving Admire Bio and her husband. They say the police returned only the tax money they had paid, but that the larger amount they claim was lost has not been addressed.

The businessmen further allege that political connections are influencing the handling of the investigation and believe the case is being delayed in the hope that they will eventually leave Sierra Leone. They also criticize the government's handling of justice, expressing disappointment with what they describe as a lack of progress.

These are allegations made by the businessmen. The Sierra Leone Police and those accused may have different accounts of the case, and any allegations remain subject to investigation and legal proceedings.
