A Message to APRIILL – From Fizclusive

To the young new school artist APRIILL,
I see you. I see your talent, your energy, your hunger. Your new track “Oway ” is making waves, and the streets are starting to recognize your name.

That’s powerful — but here’s my advice to you:

Don’t pay too much attention to the noise. The hype, the praise, the “you’re the best” comments — they feel good, but they can also be a trap. If you listen too much to the voices of people, you’ll start creating for them, not from your own spirit. And eventually, that leads to confusion, burnout, or worse — disappearing without leaving a legacy.

Stay focused on your craft. What makes you unique? What story are you trying to tell through your music? Lock into that and build from there. You need a branding strategy — not just for now, but for the next 5 to 10 years.

Think of the big picture:
• What do you want your identity to be?
• What colors, visuals, and themes represent you?
• What kind of songs will you drop — and when? • What artists do you want to collaborate with, and why?
• What shows should you attend or avoid? • How often will you release? Albums, EPs?
• When will you do photo or video shoots? How will it all connect?Don’t wait for things to happen randomly. Plan them.

Be intentional.
Fame without structure can confuse you. Hype without vision can destroy you.
So keep working, stay grounded, and stay ahead — not just in music, but in strategy, branding, and self-awareness.

We’re watching. We’re rooting for you.

Now go build something Legendary

Why Do We Keep Saying “Sierra Leone Is Hard”?

Every day, we hear the same thing — “Sierra Leone is hard, there are no opportunities, nothing is working.” But let’s pause for a moment and look around…

The Lebanese are here. The Indians are here. The Chinese are here. They’re not just surviving — they’re thriving. They’re opening shops, building mansions, running factories, owning businesses in every corner of this country. And guess what? They’re sending the money back to their countries to empower their own people.

Meanwhile, we the sons and daughters of this soil are busy complaining instead of creating. We wait for jobs instead of starting something small. We look down on the very land that others are using to build empires.

Truth is, Sierra Leone is full of opportunities.

From agriculture to manufacturing, tech, construction, fashion, food, events, furniture, real estate — the market is wide open! The demand is there, the people are here, and the potential is endless. All we need is vision, courage, and a willingness to start from somewhere — even if it’s small.

Let this be a wake-up call.
If foreigners can come here and make it, why not us?
This is OUR land.
Let’s take ownership.
Let’s build.
Let’s create.
Let’s change the narrative.

Sierra Leone is not hard — it’s just waiting for the right mindset.

Two main problem affecting Sierra Leoneans

07/04/2025

Why Most People Fail in Business in Sierra Leone

One of the biggest reasons why many people fail in business is because they don’t start with their own ideas. Instead, they wait. They wait until someone else takes the risk, tests the waters, and proves that a business can work — then they rush in with more money and copy the exact same idea.

Sometimes, they don’t just copy — they open the same business right next to you just to compete, frustrate, and force you to close. But here’s the twist: once you close down, thinking you’ve lost everything, they start to realize the painful truth — the business doesn’t bring the kind of profit they expected. It was only working because YOU, the originator, knew how to make it work. The profit was enough for you, but too small for them because they were never in it for the passion — just the competition.

This cycle has killed so many great ideas and discouraged so many young people.

But we need to change that mindset.

Here’s what we should start doing instead:

1. Create Your Own Path – Don’t wait to copy someone else. Study your environment, identify needs, and solve real problems. That’s how true businesses are built.

2. Start Small, Grow Smart – Big money doesn’t always win. Strategy, patience, and consistency will take you farther.

3. Collaborate, Don’t Compete – Young people should join forces, share skills, pool resources, and build networks instead of tearing each other down.

4. Support Local, Build Local – Let’s support each other’s businesses instead of rushing to copy and kill them.

Sierra Leone can rise when we stop copying and start innovating. Let’s build with purpose. Let’s grow together.

You don’t need a big idea — you just need YOUR idea.
