This would have been me if God didn't save me from chronic anxiety and panic attacks.
I would have probably been in the psychiatry ward instead of doing spoken words and the only word play I would had is with imaginary friends.
But of course, if you saw me; you will be like this one don go smoke wetin pass am; Na drugs!! Na addict.
But you forget that addiction is only a symptom not the disease.
The real disease is the desperate need to escape yourself.
It's the illusion that your current reality is so unbearable that it needs some type of situation.
Like a pap without sugar, or like drawing a straight line without ruler.
That's it's the iPatch without Rugar, it's the deception that you can't find your peace from above and so unfortunately the only line that shines in your tunnel is the one from your lighter; yet you still feel heavy.
Alcohol and Tramadol but all you need is the all in all; I'm not saying you are addicted but you don't have to lose your spark just cos you lost your spark.
Reality is not a sickness so stop injecting fantasies, the only way to take the weight of your shoulder is to bring your shoulder down.
You need help, and we must build a mentally healthy society.
This would have been me, if I had let depression win.
if I had listened to the thought telling me there's nothing to live for; nothing worth my eyes for to see a new day.
One good shot from this sniper, would have taken me out.
All because I tried to distract my battles instead of confronting them.
But our society make it's so easy to distract them.
I mean, look around; we have 100 small clubs than mental health institutions.
Thousands more entertainers than therapist, and millions more people who only knows one side of the coin.
So every time they toss am, it only lands on cocktails.
This would have been me, but for you who is afraid that this might become you I want you to know that God hasn't given you the spirit of fear, but of power, love and sound mind.
Sound mind free from depression and anxiety, you will heal and take away this Achilles and teach that you don't silence the noise of a radio by turning down the volume of a TV.
Distraction doesn't heal malfunction.
Listen, I don't think you are suicidal because you are weak. It takes a lot of strength to end this thing called life.
But that strength is useless in the after life.
We need you here, we need it here cos in this ship of Life we have to be the both captain and anchor.
To be an anchor, you must know what the hard ground feels like.
This would have been me, but it's not and it can never be cos the same mind that almost destroyed me has now become my testimony for speaking to others.
