"Take time to be a real friend to your children. Listen to your children, really listen. Talk with them, laugh and joke with them, sing with them, play with them, cry with them, hug them, honestly praise them.”

The Institute of Religion marked its 100th anniversary, and the Yenagoa Nigeria Stake commemorated this milestone with a special and uplifting event. The gathering brought together institute and seminary students, BYU–Pathway Worldwide students, Succeed in School participants, service missionaries, full-time missionaries, teachers, and members. It was a spiritually enriching occasion filled with heartfelt testimonies and inspired instruction from leaders, all centered on strengthening faith in Jesus Christ.
The event was further blessed by the presence of Brother Ifeanyichukwu Ameme, the Institute Coordinator, who shared profound and timely truths. His teachings encouraged the youth to remain steadfast on the covenant path and to deepen their commitment to following Jesus Christ in all aspects of their lives.
This memorable celebration not only honored a century of Institute of Religion but also reinforced its enduring purpose—to guide and inspire young people to grow spiritually, develop lifelong discipleship, and build a firm foundation in the restored gospel.

The Lindon Temple open house had 287,228 visitors over a four week period. That's the equivalent of filling LaVell Edwards Stadium 4.6 times! Two of those days had over 16,000 people visit each day. Wow!
Lindon City wants to thank the hundreds of volunteers who helped with traffic control and pedestrian safety. We also want to thank the residents of Lindon for their patience with heavy traffic and for their hospitality during this major event. Lastly, we want to thank the for their adjusted schedules, and extra time and efforts to help people stay safe. The Lindon Police Department responded to 14 emergency calls during the event including 2 vehicle crashes, 1 medical condition, 4 parking complaints, 1 lost/found child, 4 motor assists (keys locked in cars), 1 suspicious activity, and 1 call about protesters interfering with a crosswalk. Overall, a minor amount of calls and a big success for such a massive amount of people.
Thank you again to Lindon City residents, volunteers, and city employees. You helped make Lindon a great place to visit! We look forward to getting back to "regular traffic" and for continued safety and peace in our community.
