Operation Safe Street Day Two

As the national campaign against narcotics intensifies, today marks the second day of the ongoing Operation Safe Street in Kenema Division.
Today's operation is spearheaded by the Regional Police Commander, East, AIG Francis Brima Meinday, who provided overall strategic direction and supervision, ensuring that all activities were conducted in accordance with police operational standards and the objectives of the ongoing narcotics crackdown.
Supporting the regional command was the Local Unit Commander (LUC), Kenema Division, Chief Superintendent Bob Musa Mansaray, who was responsible for coordinating field deployments, overseeing tactical units, and ensuring effective collaboration between specialized teams and local personnel throughout the operation.
Also present was the Operations Officer, Inspector Mohamed Conteh, who handled the operational briefings and real-time coordination of movement and communication among the ground teams. He ensured that the operation proceeded safely, efficiently, and within the chain of command.
The joint team conducted a targeted raid at a strategic location in Blama, identified through prior intelligence as a suspected narcotics distribution point. The raid resulted in several arrests and the seizure of key exhibits believed to be linked to the illegal drug trade.
All suspects are currently in police custody, and the exhibits have been properly documented for further investigation.
