The National Council of Paramount Chiefs

ADT Operator Detained at Paramount Chief's Compound in Lunsar

Lunsar, Marampa Chiefdom — An ADT operator identified as Ibrahim Kamara was detained at the compound of Paramount Chief Bai Koblo Queen II in Lunsar after he was found carrying several traditional items, including an object alleged to be a "witch gun."

Speaking to Wi YONE BLOG MEDIA SL, Kamara explained that he had intended to attend a traditional programme organised by his area chief at the residence of the Section Chief, Pa Almamy Sheriff, at Technical Bypass.

According to him, he had dressed in traditional regalia for the occasion and hired a commercial motorbike to take him to the venue. However, he claimed the rider mistakenly transported him to the compound of the Paramount Chief instead.

During the interview, Wi YONE BLOG MEDIA SL asked Kamara whether he possessed a licence or any official authorisation to carry the traditional items. He responded that he did not.

When questioned about why the items were in his possession, Kamara stated that they had belonged to his late father and that he had inherited them following his father's death.

Asked whether he was a traditional healer or practitioner, Kamara replied that he was not.

The interview also raised questions about why he was dressed in traditional regalia and carrying such items if he was not a recognised traditional practitioner. Those questions remain unanswered and may form part of the ongoing inquiry.
