Jagaban Invests Le 250million in Women and Farmers, Winning Hearts in Mambolo

Community Center, Mambolo, Kambia District – November 27, 2025

The leading and prominent flagbearer aspirant of the All Peoples Congress (APC) Party, Sheikh Alhaji Chief Mohamed “Omodu” Kamara, popularly known as Jagaban, has once again expanded his empowerment initiative in Constituency 061, Mambolo, Kambia District. He invested two hundred and fifty thousand Leones (NLe 250,000) to support women engaged in business and to strengthen farming activities within the constituency.

The event was chaired by the APC Organizing Secretary for Constituency 061, Mr. Lionel. He warmly welcomed Jagaban and his delegation, expressing gratitude to God for the long-awaited visit, which he described as a blessing for the people of Mambolo.

Speaking on behalf of the constituency, APC Ward Chairman Mr. Abu Malcom highlighted the concerns of the community. He explained that the people rely heavily on farming and business for their livelihood and therefore appealed for Jagaban’s continued support to help improve their economic well-being.

In his keynote address, Jagaban thanked the Almighty God and the leadership of Constituency 061 for their warm reception. He stated, “My people, I officially inform you that I am contesting for the APC flagbearer position, and I am the leading candidate. I am not here to gain from you but to ease the burden on APC supporters and all Sierra Leoneans. Today is dedicated mainly to women and farmers so that you can strengthen your businesses and farming activities. Let me tell you the truth about this flagbearer race: none of us have ever served as president except former President Ernest Bai Koroma. May God continue to bless him. So if anyone tells you they have presidential experience, they are not being truthful said Jagaban.”

The event concluded with a vote of thanks from Mrs. Yamarie Timbo, who commended Jagaban for his continued leadership and his contributions to the community and the nation.

Today, November 11, 2025, I joined farmers in Gbendembu town, Ngowahun Chiefdom, Bombali District, to participate in the rice harvest from my 160-hectare farm.

This initiative is part of my agricultural program to empower rural farmers and promote food security across Sierra Leone.

I grew up in a farming family that valued hard work and community, and I remain deeply committed to agriculture as one of my six key priorities.

Through this project, which benefits over 250 farmers across four chiefdoms, I aim to boost food production, create jobs, and complement the government’s efforts toward national self-sufficiency and sustainable development.
