In Nigeria, a Christian ministry known for distributing thousands of audio Bibles each year recently extended its outreach to a Muslim ethnic group. What began as the simple sharing of God’s Word soon stirred an entire community.

Among those impacted was Abdullah, once a devoted Muslim who harbored deep resentment toward Christians. His perspective changed completely when he encountered the message of the gospel. Moved by the truth, he surrendered his life to Christ and immediately began telling others about Him.

Abdullah’s bold testimony and transformed life inspired many in his community to seek answers. Eventually, he gathered them together to share more about Jesus. In that single meeting, people openly confessed faith in Christ, leaving their Islamic traditions behind. “The whole area has now embraced Christ, and a church has been born,” the ministry leader shared.

Today, Abdullah leads discovery Bible studies and reaches out to Muslims across his state, undeterred by persecution and hostility.

“A man once zealous for Islam has become a passionate fisher of souls,” the ministry leader said.

CAN A CHRISTIAN DRINK ALCOHOL?

When a European Airline was initially launched, an educated Christian gentleman was traveling in the first class section.
An air hostess approached him with a complimentary drink, this was an alcoholic drink, but the man politely refused.

The air hostess returned but this time brought the drink on a platter, designed to appeal and impress. However, the Christian man again politely refused, explaining he doesn't drink alcohol.
The air hostess was concerned and informed the manager. The manager approached the man with another platter, now designed with flowers. He questioned, “Is there something wrong with our service? Please enjoy the drink, it is a complimentary offer.”

The man replied, “I am a Christian and I do not drink alcohol? The manager still insisted that the man take the drink. Then, the Christian proposed that the manager should give the drink to the pilot first. The manager stated, “How can the pilot drink alcohol, he’s on duty! And if he drinks there are all chances for the plane to crash”.

The Christian passenger with tears in his eyes, replied, “I am a Christian and I am ALWAYS on duty in order to protect my salvation and if I Drink Alcohol I will crash my whole life here and hereafter. I

AM 100% ON DUTY!"
Maybe yours might not be an alcohol, it may be casual s*x, battling with how to control your anger, Pride, profane and vain babblings, your dressing , your attitude towards people and finally not sharing the Word.

168 Sierra Leoneans Evacuated to Freetown Amid Middle East Conflict

In the wake of the ongoing conflict between Israel and Lebanon in the Middle East, 168 Sierra Leoneans have been successfully evacuated to Freetown, as a result of coordinated efforts by the Sierra Leone Embassy in Tehran, Islamic Republic of Iran, and the Sierra Leone Consulate in Lebanon.

The repatriation, which took place on Tuesday November 19, 2024, was supported by the International Organization for Migration (IOM). Among the evacuees were four infants, aged between five and eight months.

The work of the mission underscores the commitment of the government of His Excellency President Julius Maada Bio to safeguarding the welfare of Sierra Leonean citizens abroad, particularly those in crisis zones.

According to Mr. Jaward Borniea, who is currently overseeing the Sierra Leone Consulate in Beirut, the evacuation process is ongoing, with an additional 200 Sierra Leoneans expected to return home by next week.

The Israel-Lebanon conflict has exacerbated challenges for Sierra Leoneans living in Lebanon, many of whom had moved there seeking better opportunities. Unfortunately, 98% of evacuees had lost their passports and other vital documents due to the chaos. To address this, the Sierra Leone Embassy in Iran facilitated the issuance of Emergency Travel Certificates (ETC), enabling the processing of their travel documents.

In view of these challenges, Mr. Borniea assured that the consulate is working diligently to resolve documentation issues and ensure a timely and smooth transition for those returning.
He also confirmed that there have been no reported deaths or injuries among Sierra Leoneans in Lebanon.
