A few moments ago, at a State Executive Committee meeting of the Labour Party in Awka, in Anambra State, I formally submitted my resignation letter to my ward’s Chairman.

My unwavering commitment to the greater vision for our state guides this decision. Before this, His Excellency Peter Obi was duly informed of my decision as a mark of my deep respect for his leadership and the principles we have shared on this journey. I equally notified the National Chairman.

Nigerian Police Officer, Wife killed Each Other To Death During Heated Argument In Ekiti

It was reported that the wife allegedly attacked the officer and cut off his manhood. In retaliation, the enraged policeman picked up a machete and hacked his wife to death, smashing her head and face in a gruesome act of violence.Asenior Nigerian police officer and his wife have been confirmed dead after a brutal domestic altercation in Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State.

The tragic incident, which occurred on Tuesday in the Ita-Eku area along Igirigiri Road, has sent shockwaves through the community.

According to sources, the policeman, identified as Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Caleb, allegedly engaged in a heated argument with his wife, Tate, over accusations of infidelity. The situation spiralled out of control, leading to a deadly confrontation.

It was reported that the wife allegedly attacked the officer and cut off his manhood. In retaliation, the enraged policeman picked up a machete and hacked his wife to death, smashing her head and face in a gruesome act of violence.

The Police Public Relations Officer for Ekiti State, SP Sunday Abutu, confirmed the incident to SaharaReporters.

“We got a report that a couple, husband and wife dead and we went to the scene and took them to the hospital where they were confirmed dead,” he said.

“We suspected a case of violence between the couple and a knife was recovered at the scene. The police have commenced a proper investigation into the matter. It is true, the man was a police officer.”

Reports indicate that the late ASP was in his second marriage, which, unfortunately, ended in tragedy. The couple’s bodies have been deposited at a morgue in an undisclosed hospital.

This latest incident highlights the growing crisis of domestic violence in Nigeria, where cases of intimate partner violence and fatal domestic disputes continue to rise.

Breaking News: Supreme Court Dismisses Fubara’s Appeal Challenging Amaewhule-Led Assembly

A five-man panel of the Supreme Court led by Justice Uwani Abba-Aji has dismissed the appeal filed by the Governor of Rivers State, Siminalayi Fubara, challenging the leadership of the Rivers State House of Assembly led by Martin Amaewhule.

Justice Uwani Abba-Aji while dismissing the appeal awarded a cost of two million naira against the governor payable to the Rivers State House of Assembly as the first respondent and Martin Amaewhule as the second respondent.

The dismissal of the appeal by Fubara was hinged on the withdrawal of the suit by his counsel, Yusuf Ali.

A Lagos-based hotelier and Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Leuven Empire Hotel and Suites, Ejigbo, Lagos, simply identified as Macdonald, has admitted sodomising a 16-year-old secondary school student.

The hotelier was arrested by the Nigeria Police Force for alleged so**my with the two secondary school boys.

Speaking in a viral video, the suspect denied using the boy for rituals but admitted to having s*x with him twice.

However, the victim’s father, Edozie Christian maintained that the suspect lured his son and four other teenagers to his hotel, where he sodomised them and warned them that they would die if they revealed the incident to anyone.
