El Secretario General de la OMI, el Sr. Arsenio Domínguez, ha pedido que se intensifiquen los esfuerzos diplomáticos tras una nueva oleada de ataques a buques mercantes en el mar Rojo.

Dirigiéndose al Consejo de la OMI en Londres, el Sr. Domínguez expresó su consternación por las recientes agresiones a los buques Magic Seas y Eternity C, ambos atacados los días 6 y 7 de julio. MISE À JOUR: Le Secrétaire général appelle à un « dialogue constructif » face à la recrudescence des attaques en mer Rouge

Le Secrétaire général de l’OMI, M. Arsenio Dominguez, a appelé à une intensification des efforts diplomatiques à la suite d’une nouvelle vague d’attaques contre des navires marchands en mer Rouge.

S’adressant au Conseil de l’OMI à Londres, M. Dominguez a exprimé sa consternation face aux récents assauts contre le Magic Seas et l’Eternity C, qui ont tous deux été pris pour cible les 6 et 7 juillet. UPDATE: IMO Secretary-General urges “constructive dialogue” amid renewed Red Sea attacks



IMO Secretary-General Arsenio Dominguez has called for intensified diplomatic efforts following a renewed wave of attacks on merchant ships in the Red Sea.

Addressing the IMO Council in London, Dominguez expressed dismay over recent assaults on the Magic Seas and Eternity C, both targeted on 6 and 7 July. At least three fatalities and several injuries have been reported aboard the Eternity C, while all 22 crew members of the Magic Seas were safely rescued...

COORDINATION TO RESCUE THE CREW OF A MERCHANT VESSEL IN THE RED SEA



EUNAVFOR Operation ATALANTA confirms the successful coordination and facilitation of the rescue of the MV MAGIC SEAS crew following an attack in the Southern Red Sea.

The Maritime Security Centre Indian Ocean (MSCIO) received a report of an incident 51NM southwest of Al Hudaydah, Yemen. The MV MAGIC SEAS was attacked by multiple small ships using different types of weaponry. Due to the damage suffered, which caused a fire on board, the crew abandoned the merchant vessel.
