Madagascar dépose officiellement les instruments de ratification du Traité BBNJ

Le 23 septembre 2025, au siège des Nations Unies à New York, la République de Madagascar a franchi une étape historique en procédant au dépôt officiel des instruments de ratification du Traité sur la Biodiversité au-delà des juridictions nationales (BBNJ).

Au nom de Son Excellence Monsieur Andry RAJOELINA, Président de la République, Madame Rafaravavitafika Rasata, Ministre des Affaires étrangères, a eu l’honneur de remettre ces instruments et de réaffirmer l’engagement de Madagascar en faveur de la préservation des océans, patrimoine commun de l’humanité.

The Nigerian Port’s Authority Manager (PM), Warri, on Monday this week with his executives, who was ably represented by the parastatal’s General Manager, Mrs. Stella Onyemeli Obiageli received the leadership of the Maritime Workers Union of Nigeria (MWUN) under the leadership of Comrade Francis Bunu Abi, the President – General of the Union with his executives.

أعلنت اليوم مجموعة موانئ أبوظبي (ADX: ADPORTS)، الممكّن العالمي الرائد للتجارة والصناعة والخدمات اللوجستية، بالتعاون مع شريكيها الأنغوليين “يونيكارغاز” و “مالتي باركيز”، عن وضع حجر الأساس لمشروع “موانئ نواتوم – محطة لواندا”، إيذانًا ببدء أحد أكبر مشاريع تحديث وتوسعة الموانئ في أنغولا.

وستقوم المجموعة باستثمار أكثر من 250 مليون دولار أمريكي بشكل مبدئي وذلك خلال الأعوام الثلاثة القادمة، مع إمكانية زيادة قيمة الاستثمار إلى 380 مليون دولار أمريكي على امتداد فترة الامتياز التي تصل إلى 20 عاماً، والقابلة للتمديد حتى عام 2055. وستستغرق أعمال الإنشاء في “موانئ نواتوم – محطة لواندا” 18 شهراً، لتوفر بنى تحتية متطورة، وأنظمة تقنية متقدمة، ومعدات مستدامة، بما يعزز مكانة ميناء لواندا كبوابة بحرية ولوجستية محورية، وأحد أكثر الموانئ تنافسية في منطقة وسط وغرب إفريقيا...

High Seas Treaty achieves milestone of 60 ratifications, paving the way for ocean protection

Over sixty countries have ratified the Biodiversity Beyond National Jurisdiction Agreement ahead of the 80th Session of the UN General Assembly in New York, heralding a new era for protection of international waters.

“The ratification of this Treaty is a powerful testament to what the world can achieve when we unite for the common good of our ocean. IUCN is proud to host the secretariat for the BBNJ High Ambition Coalition, to continue the political momentum beyond ratification to ensure equitable and fair implementation,” said Dr Grethel Aguilar, IUCN Director General. “Protecting the High Seas is essential for meeting our climate targets and fulfilling our goals under the Global Biodiversity Framework, which aims to protect at least 30% of the ocean by 2030.”...
