March 12, 2025 was the first day I defended my Master’s research thesis Topic.
By the grace of God, I successfully completed the entire process on June 24, 2026.
I went through seven stages, which took 1 year and 3 months (15 months) to complete.

Note:
The Internal Defence involves submitting your thesis to a lecturer (Dr. or Professor) from your university who is not your supervisor. The reviewer examines your work, provides corrections and recommendations, and you are required to revise your thesis accordingly. This stage usually takes one to two months.
The External Viva Voce Defence is the final stage. Your university sends your thesis to an external examiner (a Dr. or Professor) from another university, such as Makerere University, for independent assessment. On the final defence day, the external examiner asks you questions about your research. This process typically takes one to two months.
