Article 10 of the Somaliland constitution 1. The Republic of Somaliland respects the agreements that the Government formerly known as Somalia entered into with a foreign company or government.
if it does not conflict with the interests of the Republic of Somaliland.
2. The Republic of Somaliland recognizes and acts on the United Nations Conventions and the Law of the State; It also respects the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
3. The Republic of Somaliland believes in the principles of self-determination of the nations of the world.
4. She believes that the political differences that arise should be resolved through peaceful means and dialogue; It maintains the existence of the borders of other countries.
5. It strives to replace the long-standing conflict between the countries of the Horn of Africa with mutual understanding and rapprochement.
6. The government of the Republic of Somaliland is a free republic among the Arab nation, African nations and the Islamic world; Therefore, it strives to join the United Nations, the Organization of African Unity, the Arab League and the Organization of Islamic States.
7. The government of the Republic of Somaliland opposes acts of terrorism, etc., regardless of their purpose.
