Doorasho Qof iyo Cod ah Waa Xalka Soomaaliya:

Qabyaaladda iyo Musuqmaasuqu waa labada caqabadood ee Soomaaliya burburiyay.

Musuqmaasuqa waa xaaraan Islaamku caddeeyay, lagamana aamusi karo.

Waxaa loo baahan yahay hoggaan daacad ah oo u istaaga ciribtirka musuqmaasuqa iyo qabyaaladda. Waana taan u taagnaa illaa iyo 2019-kii.

Doorashadii Dowladaha hoose ee Puntland:

Waxaa lagu qabtay nidaamka qof iyo codka.

Shacabku si toos ah ayay u doorteen cidda ay rabaan.

Tani waxay caddeyneysaa in shacabka Soomaaliyeed ay awood u leeyihiin doorasho toos ah. Taas oo ah taan lahaa waa dhici kartaa tan iyo 2019-kii.

Haddaba DFS waa in ay:

Doorashooyinka ku saleeyaan nidaamka qof iyo cod.

Siiso shacabka fursad ay codkooda ku gutaan.

Ka fogaato in awoodda ay gacanta u geliso xildhibaannada keliya.

Soomaaliya 35 sano ayay ku jirtay xaalad adag; shacabku ma istaahilo in mustaqbalkooda la dayaco.

Dhallinyarada Soomaaliyeed:

Qaar badan ayaa ku silcaya xabsiyada Liibiya iyo waddamo kale oo badan.

Waxay dareemayaan in aysan haysan dal iyo dowlad ilaalisa.

Tani waa masiibo qaran oo aan indhaha laga qabsan karin.

Gabagabo:

Shacabka waa inay helaan xaqooda dastuuriga ah.

Xukuumadda waa in aysan dib u dhigin doorashada qof iyo cod.

Waa fursadda kaliya ee lagu badbaadin karo mustaqbalka Soomaaliya.

One Person, One Vote is the Solution for Somalia:

Clan politics and corruption are the two main obstacles that have destroyed Somalia.

Corruption, which Islam clearly forbids, cannot be tolerated.

Somalia needs honest and principled leadership to eradicate corruption and tribalism. This has been my commitment since 2019.

The Puntland example:

Local elections were held through the one person, one vote system.

Citizens directly chose their representatives.

This proved what I have maintained since 2019: Somalis are capable of conducting direct elections.

The Federal Government of Somalia must:

Base national elections on one person, one vote.

Guarantee citizens their right to cast a ballot.

Avoid concentrating power solely in the hands of MPs.

For over 35 years, Somalia has endured hardship; its people do not deserve to see their future wasted again.

Somali youth:

Many are suffering in prisons in Libya and elsewhere.

They feel abandoned, without a country or government to protect them.

This is a national tragedy that cannot be ignored.

Conclusion:

The Somali people must be granted their constitutional right to vote.

The government must not delay one person, one vote elections.

This is the only path to save Somalia’s future.

🚨Statement from Abshir Aden Ferro - Presidential Candidate for 2026

My fellow Somalis,

Every nation reaches a defining moment - a crossroads where its people must choose the path forward. Do we continue to carry the weight of unfulfilled dreams, or do we rise to build a brighter future?

Somalia has long been painted by outsiders with a broad brush of conflict and crisis. Our country, rich in spirit, has too often been portrayed as a land of despair.

And yet, our harbours echo with the heritage of vibrant trade. Our youth are brimming with potential.

Somalia is not a failed state - it is a failed structure. And structures can, and must, be rebuilt.

Our poverty does not stem from a lack of resources, but from years of failed leadership. Those trusted to serve the people have too often served only themselves.

I have earned the nickname “Mr. Clean”, and I embrace it. I’m often told, “No one can defeat corruption in Somalia.” My response is simple: I will become President and do it myself — not because it is easy, but because it is necessary.

I will restore a system grounded in justice, where laws are enforced with integrity. I will hold to account those who betray the public trust, regardless of rank/title or clan affiliation. I will welcome investment based on partnership, not exploitation.

It is time to rebuild a system with the Somali people at its very heart.

To the diaspora: You are not distant from us - you are vital to our revival. Your knowledge, your resources, your voice matter. Somalia needs you. Come home. Invest. Build. This mission is yours as well.

To the young people in every city, every village: You are the pulse of this nation. Somalia cannot progress without your voice, your vote, your vision. You are not the future - you are the now.

To the international community: We seek partnership, not pity or charity. We will protect our trade routes. We will contribute to regional peace. Somalia will no longer send its people away while others profit from our lands and seas. We are ready to rise - and we will rise on our own terms.

I see a Somalia where justice is not for sale. Where schools replace militias. Where every child believes that their future is within reach.

Ask not what Somalia can give you. Ask what you can build for Somalia.

This is our moment. Our mission. Our future.

It is a choice to reclaim the promise of Somalia. I urge you to take it.

Join us on our journey to the future of Somalia🇸🇴

This video of military food aid being sold in a civilian market doesn’t shock me. I’ve spoken about this exact issue time and time again.

I warned that corruption inside our own ranks would lead to this—resources meant for our soldiers ending up in the hands of profiteers. Now it’s on camera for the world to see.

This isn’t just a shame—it’s a betrayal of our troops and our nation. And it proves what international partners have already concluded: without real accountability, Somalia cannot move forward.

I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again—until we clean up the system, we will continue to embarrass ourselves and sabotage our future.

In the wake of our region’s long struggle, we are deeply proud to stand for the enduring beauty of my Somali🇸🇴 heritage. The music—sung in a language that traces its origins back thousands of years—(older than 6-10,000BC) and spoken by 30 million people worldwide is a testament to our resilience and the richness of our culture. his ancient dialect embodies a legacy that has withstood millennia, preserving our identity and inspiring hope. Let this music be a reminder to the world of the profound beauty and strength of our heritage, and let it inspire us all to keep our culture alive through every note.

Today, I stand before you not just as a leader, but as a son of this soil who has dedicated his life to the dignity, security, and prosperity of our people. And I must speak with clarity, strength, and truth — no matter how uncomfortable it may be.

President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, along with his administration, has failed the Somali people. He has failed the office he holds. Despite repeated and urgent warnings from advisors, international partners, and stakeholders both Somali and non Somali— warnings that were loud and clear — he continued on a path that has now led our beloved country into chaos and collapse.

The security situation in Somalia is not just fragile — it’s broken. Terror continues to fester. Our economy is stalling. And our people live in fear and hardship. The consequences of this failed leadership have now spilled beyond our borders. Global powers are losing trust. International allies are withdrawing. The entire Horn of Africa is being shaken. What was once a Somali crisis has become a global concern.

I must also speak to those who stood by and watched this decline unfold — senior government officials, ministers, other key stakeholders and tribal leaders. You are entrusted to serve the people, not protect your own interests. Your silence has been loud. Your inaction has been complicit. This is direct result of a corrupted election which is already public information from the beginning.

This situation hits especially close to home. For years, my team and I worked relentlessly behind the scenes, building bridges with the international community — restoring hope, changing narratives, and reminding the world that Somalia deserves a second chance by bringing them back to somalia alongside their offices and embassies. That hope is now being betrayed. And let me tell you: betrayal is not a dish I serve, and it is not one I will ever accept.

The Somali people deserve better. We deserve leadership that is honest, strategic, and accountable. We deserve safety. We deserve peace. We deserve progress.

Therefore, I call on President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud to do the right thing — to step down immediately for the sake of the nation. Let this moment be a turning point, not the beginning of a deeper collapse.

If Somalia fails by letting Al-Shabab take over, this will have an impact on the second busiest maritime in the world which has a trade of $2Bn USD per day which operated 365 days a year

Somalia is bigger than any one man, any one party, or any one administration.

Some State Department officials have proposed closing the embassy in Mogadishu, the Somali capital, as a precaution after recent gains by Al Shabab militants.

A must-watch: “Surviving Black Hawk Down” on Netflix—a powerful documentary that revisits the 1993 Battle of Mogadishu with depth and nuance.

By bringing forward firsthand voices and untold perspectives, this series offers an opportunity for reflection, understanding, and learning from history. A compelling reminder of the resilience of nations and the importance of peace.

Much appreciation to Netflixand award-winning journalist Jamal Muhumed Osmanfor shedding light on this chapter of our shared history.

On the Challenges of Financing and Global Security in the Work of the United Nations Security Council

“The United Nations Security Council stands at a critical crossroads, tasked with responding to growing global threats while facing profound financial and operational challenges. The upcoming resolution on Somalia, marking the transition from the African Union Transition Mission in Somalia (ATMIS) to the African Union Support and Stabilization Mission (AUSSOM), illustrates both the opportunities and the grave difficulties facing international peace efforts.

One of the greatest challenges remains the chronic underfunding of global security initiatives. Missions like AUSSOM, designed to stabilize fragile regions, are undermined by inconsistent financial commitments and resource gaps. These limitations place excessive pressure on regional actors and weaken the international community’s ability to achieve meaningful and sustainable results. We must confront an uncomfortable reality: peace cannot be achieved through mere promises. It demands sustained investment and a fair sharing of burdens.

Equally troubling are the geopolitical divisions increasingly paralyzing the Security Council. While millions suffer in prolonged crises – in Syria, Ukraine, Sudan, Yemen, Ethiopia, Eritrea, Israel, Palestine, Lebanon, Iran, and elsewhere – the Council too often succumbs to deadlock, prioritizing national interests over collective responsibility. This failure not only delays crucial actions but also erodes the credibility of the very institution tasked with maintaining international peace and security.

The international community faces an alarming truth: without addressing these financial and political fractures, the effectiveness of the Security Council will remain compromised. It is time to act with boldness and unity. We must demand greater accountability, stronger resource mobilization, and a renewed commitment to the principles of multilateralism.

The world is watching, and history will judge us not by our ambitions, but by our ability to overcome these obstacles and deliver tangible results to those who rely on the Council’s leadership. Global security depends on it.”
