ARC workers block the Bahr el Ghazal road near the Tombek area

ARC Workers have blocked the Bahr El Ghazal Highway in protest of their unpaid salary. A motorist has confirmed to the media. In a Facebook Post, “My night-long journey from Rumbek to Juba has just been blocked by angry ARC protesters at Tombek area.”

According to sources, employees and subcontractors of the company have not been paid for months as many projects are stalled.

Picture shared on social media shows about three Sino trucks parked in the middle of the road to block the road, causing significant disruptions of the free movement of the road users.

As of now, no movement is allowed in or out of Bahr el Ghazal via the Juba-Terekeka road.

Efforts to reach ARC management for the comment were unable.
