Re:Appeal for Rehabilitation of Tieicuai Feeder Road in Malualbaai Payam
Dear Governor H.E Charles Madut Akol,
With great pleasure I would like to appeal to your state government and drawing on my civic duty and with full awareness of its significance, to request your esteemed government to resume and complete the second phase of rehabilitation works along the Tieicuai feeder road in Malualbaai Payam.
The Tieicuai feeder road is a vital element of the rural transport infrastructure network, being one of the key routes through which agricultural products, essential goods, and services are transported to and from the Malualbaai Market.
It is worth noting that the initial rehabilitation was initiated during the time when the former Governor, H.E. Simon Ober, held his office and was enabled via providing fuel resources to ARC. However, the suspension of these rehabilitation projects, lack of follow up from an institutional point of view and poor coordination from the local administration have led to the deterioration of the roads' infrastructure and service provision disruptions.
Under the current state of affairs, there is a serious problem in that the road is characterised by extreme damage of its surface, inadequate drainage system and restricted all-weather access to the payam and that of rural population. These issues make transportation costly and difficult, affecting rural livelihoods and agricultural production adversely, especially in the rain season when communities are isolated.
Therefore, I would like to kindly request your office to resume the Tieicuai road feeder project within the framework of state infrastructure building plans in the state as follows; restart the project through a well-defined administrative and implementation process; allocate necessary resources for the timely ex*****on of the task; provide directions to the local administration regarding their monitoring and control over the project; implement sustainable engineering solutions with a proper drainage system.
In my capacity as a conscientious young citizen and stakeholder in the development of our society, I am confident of your leadership and commitment to equal provision of services in all Payams. Prompt handling of this situation by you is going to have an everlasting effect on those who are being served.
Thanks for considering my views.
Yours Sincerely,
Garang Santino Kuc aka Malual Jr.
