Dear Members of the Public,

I wish to issue this official statement to clarify recent events surrounding the cancellation of my scheduled dowry negotiation and to provide factual information regarding my previous marriage to Gen. Atem Gualdit. I believe it is important to speak openly to prevent misinformation, speculation, and misunderstanding.

1. Clarification on My Previous Marriage

In 2003, at the age of eight (8), I was subjected to an arranged marriage without my consent. The arrangement was conducted by my elder brother, Angony Deng Ajal who sold me off to his friend, Gen. Atem Gualdit. There was no formal marriage ceremony, no proper family consultation, and no involvement of key relatives or elders. The decision was made without my knowledge or approval.

As a result of this arrangement, I was withdrawn from school in Panliet Awan Mou Ring. The incident was witnessed by teachers and community members. One of my teachers by name Atem Gal,attempted to raise a legal complaint in Gogrial but the process were stopped by Angony Deng, objecting to the forced arrangement and school closure. However, that effort was halted.

From that time, I lived under circumstances that treated the arrangement as a marriage. After years of enduring the situation, I sought legal redress. On 10 December 2022, a competent court granted me a formal divorce.

In 2023, Gen. Atem Gualdit filed another petition at the village court in Panliet. The petition was dismissed, and my divorce was reaffirmed in the presence of community members. He requested the refund of his dowry, and I formally requested time to settle the matter. I later refunded all the cows as documented by the court, including their number and

As South Sudan prepares for elections, Warrap State stands at a crossroads.
Representation is not merely a political arrangement , it is the architecture of trust between citizens and the institutions that govern them. It determines whose voices are amplified, whose priorities are heard, and whose communities receive the development they deserve.

Before we enter the season of campaigns and promises, Warrap must first pick up a simple but powerful tool: a tape measure. A civic tape measure one that stretches across our counties with honesty, precision, and fairness.

Because when we measure Warrap State properly, the numbers tell a story that demands our attention.

Warrap is composed of six counties, grouped into two major regions:

- Greater Gogrial: Gogrial East with a population of 103283 and a area oof 2890., GoGogrial with with ation of 243921 and a land ara ea o4745.37 Square Kilometers and Twic th pop ationa of 204905 and land area of 3922.65 square kilometers.
-kilometresonj: Tonj North with a population a 165122 and land area of 11,012.05 square kilometers, Tonjkilometres 116123 and land area of 3990.61 Square Kilometers and Tonj South with population of 86,592 and land area of 7449.73 square kilometers.

Demographkilometresing the official popusingon figures still recognized nationally,recognisedogrial has a combined population of roughly 552,109 people, while Greater Tonj has approximately 368,000 people.

Geographically, Greater Tonj covers a significantly larger land area, measuring in total 23,081 Square Kilometers, stretching across vast rural terrain that requires more administrative reach and representation to serve effectively.
While Greater Gogrial covers 12, 781 Square Kilometers.
