Subject: Call for General Assembly Meeting โ 28th June 2025 at Rio Hotel
Dear Esteemed Members,
The Office of the TMYAD-RC in Juba hereby extends a cordial invitation to all members of the Twic Mayardit Youth Association for Development to attend a crucial General Assembly Meeting scheduled for Saturday, 28th June 2025 at 12:00 Noon, to be held at Rio Hotel.
This meeting is intended to update members on the revival process of our once vibrant association, which has remained inactive for the past three years due to leadership conflicts and divisions caused by the previous two rival Chairpersons.
As the Twic Mayardit Community Association remains the only operational community body in Juba, we welcome its decision to preside over the upcoming meeting.
However, we respectfully request that the following be ensured during the sitting:
1. Members of TMYAD General Assembly be given the platform to freely express their views on how to prevent future divisions and factionalism.
2. The association's members be allowed to nominate either a Steering Committee or an Electoral Committee, free from external interference.
3. The nominated committee members should be individuals of high integrity, with no history of misconduct, corruption, or abuse of public trust, as seen with certain members of the 2022 Electoral Committee.
4. The Reviving Committee be given floor to present a comprehensive update on the procedures and progress made throughout the revival process before discussion begins.
5. The nominated committee should be independent of the Community leadership and should work independently and shall be reporting to General Assembly only.
We encourage all members to attend in large numbers and participate meaningfully in shaping the future of our association.
