Call for the return of Nyirol County commissioner to County headquarter Lankien

Dear all esteemed member of Nyirol County,

I am officially requesting your kind-hearted acceptance of the return of our county commissioner, Honourable James Bol Makuei, to headquarter Lankien after some months away from the headquarter.
I know misunderstandings are always happening, but people should sit and listen to each other to handle the matter through smart processes.
We, the community of Nyirol County, particularly youth, women, and community members, did not participate in the displacement of the commissioner from the county headquarter to Pultruk payam. The army generals, particularly the SPLM IO party members, were the ones involved in this matter with the reason that the chairman Dr. Riek Machar Teny Dhuorgon has been put under house arrest, while IO is the main political party to the 2018 peace accord agreement.
Furthermore, as the people of Nyirol County, let us learn how things go in our country. Now, the very community is the one who protects and develops their area either through peaceful means or politically.
Let's take ownership and be nationalist of our county, let's focus on our community interests, not personal matters. We all deserve to be leaders tomorrow, and our united voice as one community will bring about more changes.
Know that keeping our county commissioner away from County headquarter Lankien will bring more harm to our communities, not only politically but also economically.
Finally, I direct this message to our generals who are not happy with the presence of the county commissioner in headquarter Lankien. Sometimes, you're right to say the commissioner shouldn't be in Lankien because of the arrest of SPLM IO chairman Dr. Riek Machar Teny Dhuorgon, but in another way around, is to know what's going to happen next.
As of now, things are not known, and the peace that brought us together to be in Juba still exists.

- One Nation, One System: Central Equatoria Must End Its Standalone Agenda.

Central Equatoria State is increasingly isolating itself from national alignment by openly rejecting the South Sudan Revenue Authority’s (SSRA) latest tax zoning directive. This posture isn't just politically troubling — it raises questions about the state’s commitment to unity and national progress, especially at a time when South Sudan is struggling to stabilize its economy.

The SSRA, under the leadership of Commissioner Hon. Simon Akuei Deng, has taken a step towards streamlining revenue systems through zoning — a common practice in many functioning economies, from East Africa to North America. This reform isn't an experiment; it’s a widely accepted method of organizing and enforcing tax compliance to support development.

Yet again, Central Equatoria is at odds with this national directive, adding to a long list of disputes with central authorities. Since 2011, the state leadership has consistently resisted policies related to land, revenue, and infrastructure, creating the impression that it operates with a separate mandate from that of the broader republic.

Whenever national ministries introduce policies designed to improve governance or resource allocation, Central Equatoria responds with resistance masked as “protection of local interests.” Meanwhile, unregulated revenue continues to be collected from businesses and properties in Juba. But where does all that money go?

The absence of visible progress is hard to ignore. Juba — South Sudan’s capital and most resource-rich city — still lacks proper roads, bridges, and public utilities. Despite being home to government bodies, foreign missions, and NGOs, its infrastructure remains unimpressive and outdated, pointing directly to poor financial stewardship

The Chief Administrator of Ruweng Administrative Area, Hon. Stephano Wieu De Mialek has ordered the immediate arrest of Cde. Jau Thonding, the former SPLM Secretary for Ruweng Administrative Area.

However, the sources indicate that Stephano has issued a letter of arrest to the internal security bureau to arrest the former secretary for the SPLM party with unclear reason.
