Declaration of Candidacy
For the Position of Chairmanship
Pagol Youth Association – Juba

Dear Nyang Akoch community, family members, friends, in-laws, and the general public,

I, Mawien Rual Mawien, am honoured to officially declare my candidacy for the position of Chairman of the Pagol Youth Association in Juba.

My desire to serve in this capacity is deeply rooted in a passion for community service and a strong sense of responsibility to contribute positively to our community. Having previously served as one of the executive members of the Pagol Youth Association, I have gained valuable experience and insight into the numerous challenges facing our beloved Nyang Akoch community. This experience has strengthened my resolve to lead and work collaboratively to address these pressing issues.

Many of you know my commitment to positive engagement in community projects and peace initiatives. A notable example of our collective success was the construction of the Secondary School at Pagol headquarters, achieved under the leadership of Ajiing Mabior Ajang.

Vision

To promote unity among youth and elders, fostering a conducive environment for sustainable development.

Goals and Commitments

If entrusted with the chairmanship, I pledge to work wholeheartedly with your full cooperation to:

1. Promote peace and unity among community members through open dialogue and mutual understanding.

2. Initiate and support developmental projects, including:

• Construction of Mayen Looc Primary School

• Renovation of Lurchuk Primary School
These projects will be pursued through active engagement with government bodies, NGOs, community and well-wishers.

3. Empower youth through skill development programs such as basic computer training and other vocational skills.

4. Establish a farming project back home to support sustainable livelihoods.

5. Support financially disadvantaged students to enable access to education.

6. Collaborate with the Pagol Olympic Committee to organise an annual peace tournament, promoting unity and healthy competition.

Together, we can build a stronger, more united Nyang Akoch community.

On this occasion, I also extend warm wishes to all as we celebrate our 14th Independence Day.
