: Government Officials Inspect Progress of Juba International Airport Developmental Projct
Juba, 10th September 2025 — A high-level delegation from the Office of the President of the Republic of South Sudan, led by Ambassador Sebit B. Kamonde, paid a courtesy visit to Juba International Airport today to inspect the ongoing airport upgrade projects.
The delegation was warmly received by the senior management of the South Sudan Civil Aviation Authority (SSCAA), led by Hon. John Woja Elinana, Director General of SSCAA, together with Eng. Kat Mosety Monyjok, Acting General Manager of Juba International Airport.
During the inspection, the delegation toured key facilities, including the parking area, passenger terminals, fire brigade station, generator and JEDCO city power site, and the Air Navigation Services Centre. The tour highlighted recent infrastructure upgrades and operational improvements carried out at the airport.
The visiting delegation commended the notable progress achieved in modernizing airport infrastructure and enhancing service delivery. They further reaffirmed the government’s commitment to supporting aviation development as a key driver of economic growth and connectivity in South Sudan.
