The Metropolitan Archbishop of Juba, His Eminence Martine Cardinal Stephen Ameyu Mulla, led an opening prayer on Wednesday, July 16, 202,5, during the official reopening of the first session of South Sudan’s Transitional National Legislature.

In his invocation, Cardinal Ameyu called upon divine guidance for the lawmakers, urging them to uphold unity, peace, and love in their service to the people of South Sudan.

Held at the Parliament Building in Juba, the occasion drew government leaders, lawmakers, religious figures, and members of the public who gathered to mark a renewed chapter in the legislative process under the theme: “United We Stand.”

Breaking News: His. Eminence Stephen Cardinal Ameyu - President of the Sudan/South Sudan Catholic Bishops' Conference has appointed Rev. Br. Dr. Bruno Dada as the new Vice Chancellor of the Catholic University of South Sudan on Tuesday 15th July, 2025.

Rev. Br. Dr. Bruno Dada replaces Fr. Dr. Mathew Pagan who served as the Vice Chancellor of the Catholic University of South Sudan for 12 years.

He is set to commence his duties as the Vice Chancellor from 1st September, 2025.
