4: TRIBUTE FOR THE LATE HON. BONA MALWAL MADUT RING

Family, friends, elders, members of the Twic Mayardit community, and national leaders gathered today at Juba One Primary School for the second day of prayers and tributes in honor of the late veteran politician and liberation icon, Hon. Bona Malwal Madut Ring.

The atmosphere was filled with solemn reflection and deep respect as mourners remembered a man whose life’s work helped shape the history and political landscape of South Sudan. Speakers described Hon. Bona Malwal as a visionary leader, a patriotic journalist, and a courageous voice for the oppressed during the struggle for freedom and independence.

Leaders highlighted his legacy of unwavering commitment to the nation, his role in advocating for self-determination, and his lifelong pursuit of justice and equality for all South Sudanese. Community members paid emotional tributes, recalling his wisdom, humility, and lifelong dedication to serving his people, particularly the Twic Mayardit community and the nation at large.

Prayers were offered for comfort and strength for the bereaved family and for the peaceful repose of his soul. The gathering reaffirmed that although Hon. Bona Malwal has departed, his legacy and contributions will continue to inspire present and future generations.

May his soul rest in eternal peace.
