The wise man said that “success is relative.”
That means whenever we're comparing success as humans, we tend to use other humans as a benchmark.
Other humans also, can't help but compare themselves with us and they think we're more successful than them.
“Success is relative.”
You say you have no career, but millions of people have no jobs and certainly, have no careers.
You say you're still living with your parents, but someone else has no parents to live with. Besides, your parents feel good to have you around.
You say you have failed miserably at mostly every aspect of your life, but you haven't considered you're still alive and in good health, although someone you knew is no longer alive.
You say your self-esteem is incredibly broken, but someone else has no self-esteem to be broken.
You say you feel idiotic and hopeless, but what would you say if you saw the victims of a useless war in Ukraine who had a home once but are now forced to dash from cover to cover looking for shelter and scavenging for basic necessities like food and water just to stay alive.
The irony of life is that nothing is permanent. Even yourself; you're not permanent. Certainly, your situation is not permanent. Everything has a timetable and a deadline. You just need patience. Besides, whom are you comparing yourself with?
But I'll tell you what you can do now to change your situation.
If this doesn't work, I don't know what will.
It is the most effective method to change a seemingly hopeless situation into one full of hope.
It is one where millions of devastated and hopeless people all over the world use.
Smile. Even if you don't feel like smiling.
Thank God for being still alive and not sick or dead.
Be happy you're still alive.
You don't need a career to survive or be happy. A career doesn't help. Skills do. All you need is faith and belief in yourself.
Stop worrying. If your parents are taking care of you what are you worried about?
Who are you listening to? Stop it.
Look at yourself positively and stop thinking negative thoughts. You're an amazing human being designed in the image of your Creator.
So you see, all the miseries you're going through are not real. They're made up in your mind.
You only need to change your mind and you'll see a different person and a different perspective of life.
Lastly, you're not in hospital or in prison and you have a great life ahead of you, but you're still not happy.
Why?
Your situation is self-inflicted.
All you need to do is turn it around. Now!
Will you?
