Iran fires missiles at Israel in response to attacks

Explosions were heard over Tel Aviv and Jerusalem as sirens sounded on Friday night across Israel following what the country's military spokesman said was the firing of missiles from Iran.

Iran's state news agency IRNA said hundreds of ballistic missiles had been launched in retaliation for Israel's biggest ever attacks on Iran, blasting Iran's huge underground nuclear site at Natanz and wiping out its top military commanders.

There were no immediate reports of deaths or injuries.

How Former NSS Deputy boss Gifty Oware-Mensah used 9,9,934 ghost names to steal GH¢30 million

Ghana’s Attorney General, Dr. Dominic Ayine, has revealed sh0cking details about former National Service Scheme (NSS) Deputy Director Gifty Oware-Mensah’s alleged involvement in a massive financial scandal.

“Suspect Gifty Oware-Mensah used a total of 9,934 ghost names to perpetuate said diversion of funds,” Dr. Ayine disclosed during a media briefing on Friday.

According to him, Oware-Mensah allegedly used data from the NSS to secure a loan of over GH¢30 million at an interest rate of 23% from the Agricultural Development Bank (ADB).

The funds, the Attorney General explained, were linked to a company named *Blocks of Life Consult, reportedly co-founded by Oware-Mensah and her husband, a lawyer.

The allegations form part of the ongoing ORAL investigations into corruption at the NSS. Dr. Ayine confirmed that criminal charges will soon be filed against the suspects involved.

South Sudan's Minister of Trade and Industry Hon. Atong Kuol Manyang suspended Hon. Gloria Nyoka Joseph, Executive Director of the National Bureau of Standards, pending investigation.

The suspension is due to alleged mismanagement, unprocedural actions, divisive politics, and undermining the Minister.

Aldo Upiou Juady, Senior DG, will act on Joseph's behalf. Security organs are instructed to enforce the order immediately.
