The Unsaid Reality of South Sudanese 1st Lt. Gen. Akol Koor Kuc Which His Detractors or Critics Must Understand

Gen. Akol Koor Kuc, the current Director General of the National Security Service (Internal Security Bureau) - widely known as the key protector of the South Sudan Government is a man of outstanding history and a lot of achievements in South Sudan. Security expert Director General Akol Koor, like his other Comrades, joined the Revolutionary War of the SPLA against Arabs in Khartoum and he tirelessly contributed to the liberation struggles until the right of self-determination for South Sudan was achieved. He performs to the best of his core whenever and wherever he has been tasked with an assignment since the days of the liberation struggle up-to-date. Most of his tasks are always executed perfectly and cautiously. This is to say he is a hard worker whose name is far from a failure.
The history and development of the Republic of South Sudan tell us that Gen. Akol Koor Kuc had consistently fought and worked hard alongside his Comrades for the sovereignty of the people of South Sudan right away from the SPLA advent. Apart from his exposure to the frontlines during the dark days of 21yrs civil war, he served as Tonj North County Commissioner within the war period in around 2004 before the conclusion of our hard-won Comprehensive Peace Agreement (CPA). While serving as a County Commissioner, Gen. Akol Koor accomplished so many things which are historically known as parts of his achievements in Tonj North County and Warrap State. Records of his tangible achievements are in books of SPLM, SPLA/SSPDF and in the minds and hearts of South Sudanese and foreigners who are familiar with South Sudan affairs including you and your family.
After being relieved of his duties as a County Commissioner, he was deployed to Khartoum as a Security Officer in charge of numerous secret activities for the Southern Sudan Government under Gen. Salva Kiir Mayardit VP by then. Gen. Akol Koor's dedication to that job in Khartoum plus his previous tremendous contributions as a County Commissioner and his blood-based loyalty were among the things which later on greatly materialised in his appointment as the head of close protection of H.E. President Salva Kiir Mayardit and subsequently resulted in his well-deserved promotion to Blue House as the First Director General of the Internal Security Bureau in the history of South Sudan and NSS as well. With his broad technical know-how in the security sector, Gen. Akol laid a solid foundation for the National Security Institutions both ISB & GIB, the two Intelligence branches of our nascent Country.
National Security Service now generates its income, best policy and well-mannered manpower and is recognized as the most organised Armed Secret Service Institution in South Sudan and regionally which is regarded to be having well-trained manpower and standardised facilities. National Security now stands as the most feared and respected Government Institution. This is not because it is strange but, because it strictly enforces laws without compromise and individuals interest except for national agenda. No sound-minded person could dispute this reality.
South Sudan National Security Service (SSNSS) is now part of the region's most organised Secret Agencies whose primary objective is to solely safeguard South Sudan's established laws and the process of nation-building. Under President Kiir's guidance leadership together with his strong Security Teams and friends in the business community, National Security works within the framework of the system and this is why Gen. Akol Koor vigorously stood to defend the Constitutional Legitimacy of the Republic of South Sudan in the 2013 and 2016 crises respectively plus invisible dangerous conspiracies. The constant subversive activities which NSS has repeatedly overcome in the Nation are the very activities which have overthrown governments in many countries in Africa, the Middle East and Asia. Gen. Akol deserves big gifts for that.
In the 2016 economic blunder which happened due to the occurrence of the ongoing unhealthy competition of a power struggle war, Gen. Akol Koor manoeuvred to get a considerable amount of money generated by his created institutions and injected it into the black market for speedy economic recovery motive. This move rapidly helped in the economic recovery of South Sudan after the 2016 to 2017 war by greedy warlords.
On other aspects - Gen. Akol Koor without too many resources in his hands some years ago, started sponsoring students when he was a commissioner of Tonj North County up to now. He sent many students to primary school, secondary schools, universities and other short courses learning in the countryside and foreign countries whereas many students successfully attained quality education and skills while others are still on their education journey. His ambition is to provide opportunities and see any government institution being led by those who are academically qualified for the progress of this great nation. This is why NSS under him is well-organised.
Dear readers, all I indicated above about National Security are valid facts that can be substantiated by doubting Thomases in case they want to ascertain them. Moreover, Gen. Akol Koor is a builder: on social, military and political aspects, there are tangible achievements of the people he built, organizations he built, and homes and families he built from nothing to something over the past years not only for himself and his close friends but he did in various communities in the countryside and abroad. As we speak, there are groups of people who have married wives and established small and big businesses for many groups of people and companies as part philanthropists. Gen. Akol is a man who has built a lot of people or organizations from zero to 100% stronger and independent. No doubt about that.
Having outlined these facts about the righteousness of Gen. Akol Koor, it does not mean a denial of negative things or problems that are being narrated in connection to the big name of Gen. Akol Koor and his workplace (NSS-Blue House). I am very aware of nasty things being said online and in some political events against him and his workplace in the past 12 years. Such malicious attacks on him are part of survival by some jobless groups of people and others are doing it out of jealousy and some are sworn enemies of President Kiir's Government which Gen. Akol Koor and his Blue House have been mandated to protect it.
The majority of critical attackers/critics of Gen. Akol Koor are from groups of people and organizations who have repeatedly failed to weaken the Government of South Sudan to unseat President Gen. Salva Kiir Mayardit. Some of those blind greedy critics are strategically focusing on tarnishing the good image of Gen. Akol Koor and the Security Sector simply for being the government's stronghold. It is also a trick to frustrate Akol Koor to resign or commit a terrible mistake that could damage his reputation and career in order to get rid of him especially those who perceived him as a threat to their illegal games. They are doing it to achieve their intention but, their agenda will drastically fail.
In summary, Gen. Akol Koor is the right-hand man of President Salva Kiir Mayarsit who truly acts to protect the Constitution and Integrity of South Sudan. Presently, South Sudan enemies and interested individuals (egotistical elements) are striving day and night to forge a rift between the father of the nation, H. E, Salva Kiir Mayardit, President of the Republic and Gen. Akol Koor Kuc, the Director General of ISB. These elements are propelling a dangerous agenda, a plan of how to expunge the current Leadership of President Salva Kiir, altogether with his strong inner circle, wanting to fundamentally capitalize on the adage, "hitting two birds with one stone theory." This sinister program by those selfish people and organisations become crystally known and will be given deaf ears by H.E President Salva Kiir and the Patriotic people of this country. Last but not least - Gen. Akol Koor seems to be a bad bureaucrat but it is because his workplace/Blue House is tasked to be a regulator temporary as the nation is working on its permanent Consitution. We all know how sometimes groups of people and organizations hate and protest against certain parts of the Constitution in other countries even in developed nations like France, China and Russia even in parts of African countries. Exactly this is what is happening in South Sudan, some people and organizations are airing out their vicious feelings against Gen. Akol Koor and his workplace/Blue House.
