CES Reports Rise in Su***de Cases Among Youth
As the world commumrate the World Su***de Prevention Day, Central Equatoria State Security Committee has raised concern over an alarming rise in su***de cases among young people in Juba. The issue was tabled during the committee’s weekly security meeting chaired by H.E. Lt. Gen. Rabi Mujung Emmanuel, Governor of Central Equatoria State, at the State Secretariat on Tuesday.
Addressing the press after the meeting, Hon. Leon Abe Brown, Minister of Local Government and Law Enforcement Agency said that eleven cases were reported last week alone, mostly linked to drug abuse among youth.
World su***de prevention day , it is a day to raise awareness of how we can create a world where fewer people die by su***de.
This year's Theme is 'Changing the Narrative on Su***de'. calls on people, communities, organisations and government to foster open, honest conversations about su***de. By initiating these vital conversations, we can break down barriers, raise awareness, and create better cultures of understanding and support.
