Declaration:

I, Mapuor Machiek Chenglou Ajuong, former candidate for Yirol East County Commissioner, announce the resumption of my campaign, previously halted in 2022.

I developed aspirations for the position in 2016, during the creation of 28 states (later 32), under Lt. Gen. Rin Tueny Mabor Deng, Governor of defunct Eastern Lakes State. The community (Pajaak) asked me to step aside for Mager Anyuon Thuc.

In 2018, under Governor Mangar Buong Aluenge, I lobbied again. The same person I had stepped aside for was appointed Advisor on Security Affairs. Then I halted my campaign.

In 2020, after states reverted to 10 plus three administrative areas, I lobbied under Governor Makur Kulang Liei, but no opportunity arose.

In 2021, under Lt. Gen. Rin Tueny Mabor, I applied again. But Hon. Manyang Luk Lueth was appointed instead.

In April 2022, I halted my campaign due to:

1. Trust in Governor Lt. Gen. Rin Tueny Mabor's judgment because I have been in his political camp for so long of which he knows all of us. So I told myself not to lobby again because Rin can call me when it's my time.

2. Support for Hon. Manyang Luk Lueth, a political ally. We have been political twins for sometimes, therefore I decided not to lobby for the position he occupied.

3. Focus on completing my studies.
I resumed studies in 2023, as I completed in November 2025, and await graduation to bagging LLB from Starford International University in February 2026. I'm honored to announce my campaign again to serve Yirol East people.

I seek the position to serve the people of Yirol East. The current Commissioner, Hon. Manyang Luk Lueth, has served; I aim to build on his work. I have plans to address insecurity in Yirol East. Where I wholeheartedly vowing for his promotion to the state ministerial position.

The work plans and objectives are detailed in my written Manifesto, which I'll submit to the Governor and SPLM offices. Given the current lobby politics, I'm not posting them here.

My Manifesto outlines my plans; it'll be submitted to the Governor and SPLM offices. Not posting here due to lobby politics. My work plans are topped by the strategies on security maintenance and how to tackling the contemporary insecurity issues disturbing the community.

I'm grateful for the opportunity to serve Yirol East County if given, and I'm committed to delivering results for my community.

Ahoc-Makur aka Mr second.

Matit Marial Beny Thong aka Ahoc-Makur is a young energetic upcoming wrestler who hailed from Pagarau Payam, Pajot Boma, Pan-ding clan of Lith, Kuacdit.

Pagarau Payam was a leading Payam in terms of wrestlers those days. 1990s those of Manuer Mangui, late Achiekdit Matet, Bol Adut Mangar, Malith Gak Akuocpiir, late Koch Aleth Aniin, late Agau Makur Chingek and late Mabor Majok Yol were the leading wrestlers in Pan Ciec.

In 2000s those of late Mayiem Mabor Matet, Makuei Mabor Chuot, Achiek Angui, late Manuer Marial Mager, late Matur Makuei Agok, late Apukgi Magak Atong and the rest have been also a leading wrestlers of Pan Ciec but from 2013 onwards Pagarau Payam face didn't appear in wrestling arena.

With emerging of Matit Marial Beny the hope is being restored in Pagarau Payam because the wrestlers that came from Pagarau are sometimes incomparable.

Pan Ciec is hoping for brighter future on Matit Marial Beny Thong aka Ahoc-Makur. May God bless him and strengthen him to have more energy for time he would be wrestling under Yirol East Wrestling and Cultural Association.

Mathem repelled Awolic calls for family wrestling.

Ciec-manyiel top wrestler Mathem Agut-chot has disputed a widely shared statement of Aweriar County top wrestler Mayen Ajuong Awolic who called for a family wrestling between Gol-Mabut Abeny and Gol Ajuong Awolic saying Awolic words were out of anger.

Mathem told CNA that his younger brother and him has nothing in contrary with Gol-Ajuong that could warrant them a family wrestling.

As I grew up and got Awolic in the game, we didn't quarrel or had intentions to wrestle with him, he is my senior and I respect him as a friend and our brother's in-law, Mathem told CNA.

I will not have any audacity to wrestle Awolic or Dut in such exaggerated situation.
Awolic is senior to me and I am senior to Dut while Dut is senior to Mariop and this pattern must be respected.

I urged social media members to desist from these allegations, Mathem Agut-chot concluded.

First of all, I am calling upon the wrestling practicing communities to keep striving for the principles of Wrestling meant for peace. People are branching off from the wrestling principles causing unnecessary issues that are not portraying the wrestling significance.

I am sadden shocked by witnessing the confrontation and correspondence exchange of bitter words against each other and against the opposite community. The sisterly communities of Ciec and Aliab have unexpectedly locked horns over something that is simple if it's well analyzed then it can't bring chaos.

The recently halted final between Ciec Manyiel and Aliab was an initiative from Lakes State Wrestling and Cultural Association, sponsored by Lakes State Holidays Olympics where Ciec and Aliab qualified to final and this initiative was meant to acknowledge and celebrate the peace brought to Lakes State by the Governor Lt. Gen. Rin Tueny Mabor.

It wasn't an initiative to cause the war amongst the communities of Lakes State, why should we divert the good intention behind the initiative. What happened between Aliab and Ciec Wrestling teams wasn't an intentional but it was a mind game well calculated by both sides.

On our side as Ciec Manyiel, we sat down and analyzed what always costed our team's win and we found out that it's the only mismatching and a lot of compromises that we always gave in on the benefit of opponents. We came up with well strategized squad and lineup that would give us a win because we recently lost the victory to Aliab in Juba due to wrong strategies.

We have squad of 15 and 5 reserved wrestlers and we divided our squad into two groups of top 5 and group two known as Anya-nya two and top 5 is Comprised of 1. Mathem Mabut, 2. Majok Mayor Manuer, 3. Agur Kot Malou, 4. Machiek Chok Mangar, and 5. Bakic Karkon. As well as we matched them with their equals from Aliab because Aliab top 5 is also clear.

This was our matching;

1- Mathem Mabut Abeny as game starter vs. Miic Atholueth

2- Majok Mayor Manuer vs. Machar Matit

3- Agur Kot Malou vs. Chiek Bol Jongkuc

4- Machiek Chok Mangar vs. Pandeng Malou

5- Bakic Karkon Achol vs. Mal Agok

This matching of ours didn't go well with Aliab team because they have their strategies of how to win also. Aliab team instead matched Mathem with Dut Ajuong with calculations that Dut Ajuong might engage Mathem in draw game to clear space for their top 5 wrestlers to secure points against Ciec Manyiel. This matching wasn't gonna work for Ciec team where Dut Ajuong was rejected to face Mathem Mabut.

This matching from Aliab side for matching Dut with Mathem didn't go well with Ciec Manyiel on two basis;

1- There is relationship between their two families and it's not acceptable in wrestling principles to wrestle someone having known relationship with you.

2- Ciec Manyiel perceived it as belittling to the senior Mathem Agut-Chot to be faced by senior wrestler while senior wrestlers are there. If Aliab top 5 wrestlers were not present then argument from Aliab would've hold water but leaving Miic, Machar, Chiek, Mal Agok and Pandeng and pushed for Dut to face Mathem was an abomination look like.

Also Ciec team matched Machiek Chok with Pandeng Malou and Aliab team noticed something that wouldn't materialize in their favor because Pandeng can't manage Machiek to wrestle him down. Aliab decided to return Pandeng and matched him with Mariop Mabut which Ciec team rejected based on calculation.

After all ups and downs, Aliab decided to make Machar Matit as game starter where they released him to the field and called for Ciec to bring anyone to face Machar then Ciec concentrated on their planning that it's only Mathem to start the game so they released Mathem to face Machar with hope that Mathem may bring first win for Ciec.

But unfortunately the government intervened by ordering the closure of the wrestling match until further notice. It wasn't a decision from either Ciec or Aliab to call off the wrestling. It was just a mind game from both sides, no need of causing divisions between these sisterly communities.

Regarding the declaration from Aliab side that Aliab community will not participate in any game whether football or wrestling that brings them together with Ciec Manyiel unless the dialogue is done was a bold decision. It's the same thing from Ciec Manyiel community, Ciec Manyiel will not engage in any social activities like football and wrestling until total peace is restored back.

Wrestling is good when it's practiced in peaceful atmosphere but with these hostilities it's not advisable to wrestle with Aliab unless otherwise peace is seen to be present and for now Ciec Manyiel is not ready to engage in any wrestling match that bring Aliab and Ciec into competition until the peace is restored to it cost.

Wrestling is entertaining when it's practice with opponents from other places but Ciec Manyiel for sometimes will be Wrestling with Bor, Greater Rumbek, Atuot, Twic, and Mundari. There is no one to threaten anyone to stop wrestling because there are no children weaned with wrestling.

Finally, I called on all the members of Ciec Manyiel community to stop commenting, posting, and live video coverage negatively against Aliab as community and against individuals. Let pay respect to ourselves because we are brothers and sisters. Let have endurance because you might come across any negativity against mighty Ciec Manyiel then don't reply leave it to other spectators to judge. It's the peace to benefit us and war can't benefit anyone amongst us.

Malaat Deng apologize to Ciec-manyiel, promise to resuscitate his form.

Ciec-manyiel former top wrestler Malaat Deng Chanuong has apologized to the community following his defeat that cost Ciec-Manyiel loss during Casco finals.

In an interview with CNA agent, Nyang'ciwath told news agency that he took responsibility of the mistake.
I didn't intend to spoil our game. I was going with confidence to top up th win but unfortunately I ended up betraying my people, Malaat say.

Malaat called for the calm and forgiveness. The wrestler assured the media that he will focus on his form to pay back this loss to Ciec-manyiel.

Malaat Deng was top athlete with Makuei Matiop, Ayuen Akuot, Makat Aliang, Mager Yoc amongst others in his winning sheet and drew with top wrestlers including Achiek Mawut, Mayom Jangara and Akol Agok.
