President Salva Kiir Mayardit has made major changes in the national government, relieving and appointing several senior officials.

Beny Gideon has been relieved and replaced by Pieng Deng as the new Minister of East African Affairs.

Dr. Lam Akol and Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) Gen. Dau Atorjong have also been relieved of their duties.

Paul Nang has been appointed as the new Chief of Defence Forces (CDF).

Denay Chagor becomes the new Minister of Wildlife, Conservation, and Tourism, replacing Zakaria, who now takes over as Minister of Transport.
