Mohammed Chan has been left out of the squad to represent Twic County in the Bahr el Ghazal Counties Peace Tournament (BCPT) 2025 in Juba.

Alfred William Khalifa, popularly known as Mohammed Chan, is a versatile player who featured in the squad of Twic Mayardit football team for the Warrap State Peace Tournament (WSPT) 2025 in Juba—he's ready and steady to play in the final against Tonj North.

He won the Twic Mayardit Peace Tournament in Juba with Ajak Kuac in 2021 before winning it with Pannyok in 2023 and 2025, respectively.

Fans are widely asking why he's not in the squad of Twic Mayardit football team but the team management has not yet confirmed the reason.

Call to Host the Twic Mayardit Peace Tournament in Twic Mayardit

Ture Manyuat HighClass has called on the organising committees of the Twic Mayardit Peace Tournament to bring the prestigious event home to Twic Mayardit.

In a statement addressed to the organisers in Juba, Wau, and Kuajok, Ture expressed appreciation for the previous efforts to host the tournament in other towns but emphasised the importance of giving the local community an opportunity to experience the celebrations firsthand.

“Bringing the tournament home would give our people the chance to enjoy and actively participate in the celebration and to witness the unity, talent, and spirit that we often showcase elsewhere,” Ture said.

According to Ture, Twic Mayardit has the facilities and the management capacity to successfully host the event, making location “no barrier” to its success.

He urged the leaders and organisers to work together to ensure that the 2026 December tournament takes place in Twic Mayardit, describing it as “a powerful symbol of love, pride, and commitment to our home” that would inspire and unite the community.

Ture acknowledged that his proposal might differ from the views of the Twic Mayardit Local Football Association, but stressed that the call was driven by a desire to strengthen community unity and showcase the county’s ability to host such a major event.

Gola Boyoi visited Pibor Boys and Girls Primary School and Nursery today to distribute 600 pairs of shoes to the school pupils

The donation was made by the Republic of Korea's contingency, ROKHMEC-UNMISS, which donated the shoes to support children in the Greater Pibor Administrative Area.
