CECAFA Kagame Cup 2025 Set for September in Tanzania

The Council of East and Central Africa Football Associations (CECAFA) has officially confirmed that the 2025 CECAFA Kagame Cup will take place from September 2nd to 15th in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.

CECAFA Executive Director Auka Gecheo revealed that twelve teams will feature in the tournament, with the hosts fielding two sides, and an additional guest team invited from another zone.

“We expect to have a more competitive tournament as most teams will use it to prepare ahead of the 2025/2026 CAF competitions,” said Gecheo.

The announcement was made through the CECAFA official page, as preparations intensify for one of the region’s most prestigious club competitions.
