Future Stars Football Academy U20 were edged out 4–3 by South Sudan Premier League side Al Ghazala FC (Wau) in a dramatic friendly encounter at the Bulluk Playground, Juba, on Saturday, 17th January 2025.

Former FSFA graduate Joseph Kenyi stole the headlines, scoring a hat-trick, including a heartbreaking 90+6 minute winner, to hand Al Ghazala a comeback victory.

South Sudan Premier League side Malakia SC is finalizing a deal to sign versatile defender Nelson Swaka.

The left-footer has reached a mutual agreement with Al Hilal SC Wau to terminate his contract after his six-month term expires.

A Future Stars Football Academy graduate, Swaka impressed in Malakia SC’s 2–1 friendly win over FSFA, playing the full 90 minutes. He started as a center-back, before coach Abujere moved him to left-back and then right-back, showcasing his adaptability.

Swaka previously played for Munuki SC and Kator FC, adding valuable experience to Malakia SC’s defense.

The CAF Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) 2026 group stage has been finalized following the official draw held in Rabat, Morocco, on Thursday, 15 January 2026.

Jamus SC Claim First Win in Tanzania as Toto Downs TRA

David Sebit (Toto) scored the decisive goal as South Sudan Premier League champions Jamus SC edged Tanzania Railways Authority (TRA) 1–0 in an international friendly at Jim Khanna Playground, Dar es Salaam, on Thursday.

Toto struck in the first half, tapping in a rebound after George Rodriguez’s shot was parried by the TRA goalkeeper, handing the Buffaloes a well-earned victory over the Tanzanian Premier League side.

The win marks Jamus SC’s first success of their mid-season training camp in Tanzania, following a 0–0 draw in their opening friendly.

According to sources inside the Jamus SC camp, the friendly forms part of the team’s preparations as they aim to defend their South Sudan Premier League title in the second half of the season.

South Sudan Premier League side Malakia SC recorded a 2–1 victory over Future Stars Football Academy (FSFS) U20 in a friendly match played on Wednesday, 15 January 2026, at the Malakia Playground.

The hosts took a first-half lead through a header from Sabri Mutwokil, before Innocent doubled the advantage with a close-range finish, giving Malakia SC a 2–0 cushion at halftime.

FSFS U20 showed resilience after the break and reduced the deficit when substitute Louis Peter (Yanga) curled home an impressive effort.

The academy side went on to dominate large spells of the second half and created several chances but could not find an equalizer.

The match concluded 2–1 in favor of Malakia SC.

The friendly served as part of FSFS U20’s preparations for the upcoming U20 League, while Malakia SC continued their mid-season preparations for the second leg of the South Sudan Premier League 2025/2026.
