DEANS BOARD MEETS

On Friday, 24th April 2026, the Deans Board of the University of Juba convened to deliberate on key academic matters. The meeting successfully reviewed and approved revisions to the students’ academic promotion policies, alongside a significant reduction in tuition fees for private/direct intake students.

The Board resolved to lower tuition fees by an average of 25% to 30%, a move aimed at enhancing accessibility and easing the financial burden on students. These changes will take effect starting this academic year and will apply across all levels, from Year 1 to Year 4.

Further details regarding the specific fee structure and implementation rates will be officially announced on Saturday, 25th April 2026.

‎To: All the concerned members of the Konggor Olympic Society.
‎
‎Subject: Public Notice regarding the upcoming Konggor Olympic to be played at the Community base in Aliek Payam, Konggor area.
‎
‎The Executive Committee of the Konggor Olympic Association met with the chairpersons of football clubs of the five sections of the Konggor Community on 12th October 2025 in the compound of Gen. Geng Geng Reech. The meeting focused on the arrangements and preparations for the upcoming Konggor Olympic 2025.
‎
‎The following agendas were widely discussed:
‎
‎1. The venue of the upcoming Konggor Olympic
‎
‎2. The activities/games to be played in Konggor Olympic.
‎
‎3. Registration fees for each section of football clubs in Konggor Olympic.
‎
‎4. Submission of the list of players from each section of football clubs.
‎
‎5. Transportation of players from Juba, Wau to Aliek Payam, Konggor area
‎
‎6. Accommodation of football players
‎
‎7. Friendly match in honor of Konggor fallen heroes like Gen. Akech Kolynin etc.
‎
‎8. Kick off date for the Konggor Olympic.
‎
‎
‎9. AOB
‎
‎The following is the summary of the resolutions of the meeting:
‎
‎I. The venue of Konggor Olympic should be Aliek Payam, Konggor area. Due to financial incapacitation, the venue will remain fixed until further developments are made across all the sections of Konggor Community.
‎
‎II. The following games/activities should be played in the upcoming Konggor Olympic:
‎
‎Football matches (five sections)
‎
‎Indoor games (five sections)
‎
‎Athletics (five sections)
‎
‎Tug of war (Rope pulling) five sections
‎
‎Volleyball (two greater sections)
‎
‎
‎III. The registration fee for each section was discussed and decided to be two million South Sudanese pounds. The period for the registration was announced from the 13th of October until 1st of December, 2025.
‎
‎IV. Submission of the list of players. Each section of FC should submit a 30 men squad, aged 18 years and above. Non Konggor Sons shall not be allowed. Those non-Konggor Sons who have residence in Konggor for more than five years should be allowed to participate.
‎
‎V. Transportation of players from Juba, Wau to Aliek Payam, Konggor area, remains the sole responsibility of the chairpersons of football clubs in each sections of Konggor Community. The transportation date should be from the 8th of December to 14th December, 2025.
‎
‎VI. Accommodation will be provided by Konggor Olympic Association in Aliek Primary school. Hired referees will be accommodated by the same Konggor Olympic at Aliek Payam Administration unit.
‎
‎VII. Official kick off date for the Konggor Olympic. The Olympic will commence on 22nd of December. Final date will be communicated by the technical team of Konggor Olympic.
‎
‎VIII. Friendly match in honor of Konggor fallen heroes like Gen. Akech Kolynin was proposed and still under process.
