๐‰๐ฎ๐›๐š, ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ— ๐Œ๐š๐ฒ ๐Ÿ๐ŸŽ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ“ โ€“ President Salva Kiir Mayardit received Vice President of Gender and Youth Cluster,Rebecca Nyandeng De Mabior on Monday at the State House, where they discussed the current political and socio-economic developments within the nation.

During the meeting, Vice President Nyandeng briefed the President on her recent official visit to Uganda, where she held talks with President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni. Her meeting with Museveni in Kampala deliberated on strengthening bilateral relations and matters of mutual interest between the two countries, besides issues of regional peace.

The President and VP Nyandeng reiterated their unwavering commitment to working together to move the country towards the trajectory of peace, unity and progressive development.

The meeting further highlighted the importance of building internal cooperation among leaders and citizens alike in an effort to consolidate national peace and South Sudan's regional diplomatic relations.

๐‰๐ฎ๐›๐š, ๐Œ๐š๐ฒ ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ’, ๐Ÿ๐ŸŽ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ“ โ€“ President Salva Kiir Mayardit met with Vice President for the Service Cluster, Josephine Joseph Lagu, to discuss urgent issues facing the cluster, including recent disease outbreaks and challenges in the education sector.

Vice President Lagu briefed the President on disease outbreaks detected in parts of South Sudan, emphasizing the need for coordinated government action to address the health crisis and support affected communities.

She also raised concerns about unpaid salaries for university lecturers, particularly at Upper Nile University, which has been operating in Juba since 2014 after its Malakal campus was damaged during conflict. The university management formally requested to relocate back to Malakal, believing that reopening there would promote regional stability and development. Vice President Lagu appealed to President Kiir to expedite this relocation process. Her appeal aligns with ongoing efforts to restore the university to its original location.

President Kiir welcomed the reports and reaffirmed his commitment to addressing the health and education challenges raised by Vice President Lagu.

Additionally, VP Josephine conveyed the Pojulu communityโ€™s gratitude to President Kiir and the national government for supporting the recent peaceful Cultural Festival in Juba, which was seen as a symbol of unity and celebration of South Sudanโ€™s diversity.

David Ashley, the United Kingdom's newly appointed Ambassador, and Anil Nautiyal, Ambassador of the Republic of India, presented their credentials during a brief ceremony at the Presidential Palace.

President Kiir underscored and valued the long-standing strong relationships with both Britain and India. He reiterated the government's firm resolve to strengthen strong and friendly diplomatic relations globally.

Ambassador Ashley said the UK and South Sudan have enjoyed historic ties for many years. He reiterated the UK's determination to support peace and development so that South Sudan can enjoy the fruits of its hard-won independence.

Ambassador Anil Nautiyal expressed readiness to cooperate with the government to strengthen mutual cooperation between New Delhi and Juba.

Ambassadors Ashley and Nautiyal promised to further bilateral relations and expand cooperation with South Sudan in various fields of mutual interest.
