The Archdiocese of Juba today celebrated the solemnity of Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary to Heaven both body and soul. The occasion was graced with the ordination of three deacons to priesthood (Deacon Joseph Mogga, Deacon Nelson and Deacon Zacharia).
During the Homily, His Eminence Stephen Ameyu Martin Cardinal Mulla urged the faithful to care and pray for the priests, he added that the yes of Mary brought salvation to the world, so too your yes to the ministerial priesthood should bring Christ to the people,through the Eucharist, the Word of God, forgiveness and reconciliation besides, hope to the suffering, peace to those in conflict and encouragement to those who are discouraged.
His Eminence Stephen Ameyu Martin Cardinal Mulla also announced their assignments as follows:
Rev. Fr. Nelson Swaka Gore assistant parish priest st. Mary immaculate Terekeka.
Rev. Fr. Joseph Mogga Loku assistant parish priest St. Charles Lwanga Lokiliri.
And Rev. Fr. Zachariah Lodu Guda assistant Parish priest St. Peter and Paul Rokon.
