According to Lel, planting crops in May allows them to mature by July, just before the floodwaters intensify. Hackathon training in Leer has concluded with formation of farmers information team volunteers. The Six members selected were selected to coordinate with vegetables farmers outside Leer and Mayiandit to ensure their products are markets in media, address challenge facing farmers include seeking new seeds to be plants during flooding.

The volunteers will coordinates with farmers information team to support their activities.

The training is being sponsored by USAID through and and implemented by Hackathon winners in Leer to mitigate effect on flooding on agriculture using media platforms to share information.
