WHO WE ARE
“Youth Zone Center” was established by seven young South Sudanese in July 2015 with the aim of engaging South Sudanese youth in promoting peace, health and gender equality among themselves. Youth Zone Center is a non profit making, National Non Governmental Organization that uses “media convergence” to engage with youth on promotion of peace, health and gender equality. The organization
produces a monthly youth newspaper on promotion of peace, health and gender equality, the newspapers is distributed free in primary and secondary schools across South Sudan. Youth Zone Center is also now engaged in forming “Youth Zone Clubs” in primary and secondary schools across the country to promote peace, health and gender equality. Youth Zone Center further produces short educational drama, uses mobile cinema to distribute the content of the drama and engage youth in the discussion of major themes of the drama hence, educating them on promotion of peace, health and gender equality.
