OFFICIAL APOLOGY LETTER TO HON. EMMANUEL ATHIEI AYUAL MAKOI, MANAGING DIRECTOR, NILEPET CORPORATION, THE REPUBLIC OF SOUTH SUDAN
Subject: Formal Apology and Official Clarification
Dear Hon. Emmanuel Athiei Ayual,
First and Foremost, on behalf of Mazulum Media, we would like to wholeheartedly and unreservedly apologize for series of fabrications, propagandistic materials, abusive, and unethical statements previously we publicized against you, your father late Gen Ayual Makoi Gueny, the extended family of Ayual Makoi Gueny, and the great community of Ciec Manyiel in Yirol East.
After significant reflection and soul searching, Mazulum Media sternly underscores that publications made were false, unfair, and influenced by information originating from individuals who are critical of your administration
In the aftermaths of our insightful, deeper, and extensive investigations on your transformational leadership, robust operational and organizational reforms you have undertaken, and industrious services rendered over the last several months and counting; Mazulum Media came to concrete realization that you are an exceptionally transformational leader, manager, director, and public servant who has significantly contributed and continues to achieve greater accomplishments to the Government of the Republic of South Sudan under H.E. President Salva Kiir Mayardit.
We particularly apologize for all insults against your father late Gen. Ayual Makoi Gueny who is not only your dear father whom you respect so much but an astute revolutionary war hero who joined the SPLM/SPLA liberation struggle from its onset, bravely fought and won numerous battles as well as standing firm in revolutionary solidarity and determination till South Sudan got independence
Mazulum Media therefore acknowledges Late Gen Ayual Makoi Gueny’s historic liberation contributions as he served alongside the liberation SPLM/SPLA forces during the struggle under the commander of CDF General Salva Kiir Mayardit and chairman Dr.John Garang De Mabior. His long years of service and experience are deserving of recognition, and not criticisms.
For some time now, Mazulum Media has been publishing and circulating articles, accusing and negatively criticizing the Managing Director of Nile Petroleum Corporation Hon. Emmanuel Athiei Ayual, as well as Hon. Maj. Gen James Deng Wal Achien, the Executive Director in the Office of the President, and Hon. Brig. Gen Akol Santo Arech, the Private Secretary and Personal Assistant to the President of the Republic, and Inspector General of Police Gen. Said Chawul Lom
Mazulum media hereby strongly declare that Hon. Emmanuel Athiei Ayual, Maj.Gen James Deng Wal Achien, Brig Gen Akol Santo Arech and Inspector General of Police Gen. Said Chawul Lom as immensely innocent and service-oriented leaders who have continued to achieve significant strides in realizing fundamental successes in respective institutions.
We recognize that those publications were inaccurate, irresponsible, disrespectful, and made without a proper factual analysis
We therefore sincerely apologize to Hon. Emmanuel Athiei Ayual, and his administration at Nilepet Corporation.
Furthermore, we earnestly apologize to Executive Director; Hon. Maj. Gen. James Deng Wal, Hon. Akol Santo Arech, and Inspector General of Police Gen. Said Chawul Lom for all uninvestigated, unverified, and unreliable propagandistic publications against them and for the pain that our publications might have inflicted on them.
We fully retract those statements and ask everyone who saw, shared, or commented on them to disregard them completely.
Allegations that huge sums of oil proceeds have been misused, stolen, or/unaccountably mismanaged by the Managing Director Hon. Emmanuel Athiei Ayual in connivance with senior executive aides in the Office of the President have been proven to be colossal lies and propagandistic machinations by the enemies of the Government most of whom are former Nilepet officials and irresponsibly unethical officers within Nilepet Corporation and other government institutions.
All allegations of witchcraft practices, misuse of office, and mismanagement of public resources are all proven fallacious and inaccurate
Dear brother Hon. Emmanuel Athiei Ayual, the management of Mazulum Media, has healing over hostility. We have also chosen to be publishing accurate and realistic information only in future.
Please accept our sincere apology, respect, and appreciation.
