On Wednesday, a businessesman, Chuor Yai was shot dead in Rumdier village of Aweil East county.
The authorities in Lieth-Ajuong told Aweil Citizens' Media that the murderer of the businessman who was shot dead yesterday is arrested and investigations are still going on.
"The suspect was trying to escape to Twic County" one of the officers told Aweil Citizens' Media.

According to the report received by Aweil Citizens' Media, Garang Deng who hailed from Twic county is currently being detained at Marolakot village in Aweil East county.

A woman was arrested for sneaking bullets in Tonj South county. According to a statement extended to the media, the woman mixed bullets and sorghum in the same sack to cover up. : The Uganda’s Encroachment by Use of Force in Kajo-Keji is not only illegal under Modern International Law but Also a Grave Violation of South Sudan’s Territorial Integrity

The Republics of South Sudan and Uganda share a border of approx. 270 Km inherited by South Sudan on its secession from Sudan in 2011. This border was established by British Secretary of State for Colonies via Order in the Council on 21/04/1914 as a colonial administrative boundary between the then Angolo-Egyptian Sudan and Uganda Protectorate. This boundary remains unchanged post-independence till the secession of South Sudan save the transfer of Rudolf province from Uganda to Kenya in 1926 which altered its borderland section to be the present border between South Sudan and Kenya.

Uganda’s ambition to acquire territory beyond the above border through the use of force constitutes not only flagrant breach of international legal norms prohibiting the acquisition of territory by force but also a serious violation of the territorial integrity of the Republic of South Sudan contrary to the fundamental principles enshrined in the United Nations Charter, International Customary law and African Regional Instruments.
International law unequivocally prohibits the acquisition of territory by force. Art, 2 (4), of the UN Charter prohibits the “Use of Force or the threat of the Use of Force against the territorial integrity or political independence of any state” The Declaration on the Inadmissibility of the Acquisition of Territory by War (1967), adopted by UN General Assembly declared that “territory cannot be the object of acquisition resulting from the threat or use of force”.

MP protests removal by President Kiir, says Dr. Machar was not consulted

A member of Parliament from SPLM-IO protested being removed by President Salva Kiir, citing that Dr. Riek Machar was not consulted as stated in the agreement.

In a statement to the media, Reath Muoch Tang, a member of the National Parliament, protested his removal, citing that Dr. Riek Machar Teny, the Chairperson of the Sudan People's Liberation in Opposition, was not consulted.

“First and foremost, the decision (to remove me) is unilateral and unconstitutional, and a clear violation of the Revitalized Agreement on the Resolution of the Conflict in the Republic of South Sudan (R-ARCSS), specifically Article 1.9.2.1, which clearly states that a Member of Parliament appointed through the ticket of a particular party cannot be removed without the knowledge and consultation of that party,” he said in a statement.

The MP was appointed under the SPLM-IO ticket, a party led by Dr. Riek Machar Teny.
